Now if Diddy, who is worth over a half a million on his own, didn't feel the need to go try and buy an empty college in the middle of no where and started in the place where he grew up - why the fuck does this broke bum feel the need to start with a NATIONAL program that he can't even donate even 10% of his own money to? Why in all this time is there not even a trace of a staff, curriculum, business plan, nothing? How is he supposed to be educatingBlack boys on financial literacy when he can't even pay his own bills?

Atlanta has tons of charter schools , so does Baltimore and philly , where's he's from. I know a guy personally who runs one in Dallas.

I live in Baltimore homie. They done fired some many teachers here and shut down so many schools. Every single year they take huge chunks of money out the school budget but always have money to make the white sides of the city look better. Boyce never hid where he got his degree from. Furthermore, when people gave him their money, they got what they paid for. Complete transparency.

Years later, what has Umar produced in the way of a school with all that money he's collected? Why does he get hostile when people ask for transparency, a business plan, a budget? Why does the amount he claims to have collected in donations keep decreasing over the years? Why is he outright lying about how much GoFundMe deducted from the donations to the tune of between 31 and 35% ? (I posted a link directly to their site where they detail that they deduct less than 3% per donation).

There is NOTHING that Umar has spoken on that has not already been spoken on in detail by others before him.

Nobody is "killing" this man. He is killing his own credibility all by himself.

Nobody has to "promote someone to replace him" in order for our grievances to be legit. State Regulation of Private Schools provides a brief description for each state of state legal requirements that apply to K–12 private schools in the United States. This document is intended to serve as a reference for public and nonpublic school officials, state policy-makers, researchers, and others. This report is an update of the 2000 publication by the Office of Non-Public Education (ONPE), State Regulation of Private Schools, which in turn was an update of the 1993 publication by the (then) Office of Private Education, The Regulation of Private Schools in America: A State by State Analysis.

To ensure the accuracy of each state summary, ONPE first updated the information published in the 2000 report for that state, using information from the state’s Web site. Then, the update was submitted to appropriate state officials for their consideration, revision, and approval. The individuals in each state who reviewed these summaries were critical to ensure timely and accurate updates. ONPE appreciates their participation, cooperation, and expertise. The end of each chapter includes the date when the state last provided comment. As this report is an electronic publication, chapters will be revised and updated as new information becomes available from the states.

The report includes information in several areas of state regulation of private schools. I have never seen it reported or any accusation that he stole millions of dollars in donations. Did that really happen or is that just an embellishment to increase the narrative that he is benevolent and under undeserved attack?

You know brothers, what ultimately is sad is that amongst these internet black conscious 'personalities' they have some of the key areas of human activity covered from a black American perspective:

Umar (education)
Boyce (economics)
Yvette (politics)
Tariq (entertainment)
TBA (economics & labor)

Problem is they can't get along with each other consistently or in some cases have contentious relationships with their audiences, which causes people to pick sides then start going at each other counterproductively.

All these people come with questions from the communities they serve:

Umar (non transparent about school status according to some)

Boyce (emotional, biased, not dealing with his team correctly on money)

Tariq (some say the black empowerment lane is just another hustle for the ultimate hustler and he's not as sincere as some would like)

Yvette (some say she is too negative and not a proponent of the do 4 self mantra)

TBA (some say he is a coward for never showing his face and constantly berating his fanbase on FB and his broadcast when he is disagreed with)

My point is that we could nitpick at all these people or we can embrace the positive things they have to offer, if TV One had built programming around all of the aforementioned in their particular realms of expertise, it would be great, but that will never happen because of the constant bickering

I just listen to these people on YouTube to glean the good things, but Claud Anderson is the true godbox, they all pretty much got their rhetoric from him anyways
