I actually forget when I first came onto the site as a whole. I use to pop into Blackgirlonline (and Whitegirlonline AND Asiangirlonline) strictly for the porn posts back then. It changed monthly. I was slowly drawn into the forum. Thought it was a bunch of weirdos (after all it was a porn site). One day I popped in and have been here ever since. Lurked for YEARS before joining in 2005..

I remember my first post. It was of Leah Williams from QVC. I got slammed pretty hard on that one.

Eventually changed my screen name and here I am today.
 
Nope. No shame at all. Love this site. I thought I was a bit weird till I saw how long some of y’all been on here. Been on here since high school. It’s been a couple decades. I do miss when we had more female involvement. I’m sure they still are but they’ve gone into lurker mode. Don’t blame em tho. Any blog site is hell for a woman I feel. Lol this place has always been amazing. Learned quite a bit.
 
A homie put me on this site back in 2006 when I use to spend my time on Boxden posting old school funk and soul music.

Some crazy shit happen to my Boxden account and homie told me to share over here. Started in 2007.

I kind of just shared without even lurking around first, so I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It took all of 3 months before I realized I needed to delete everything about me from the internet because niggas was getting ocked to oblivion.

Since 2007, I had a child, got married, earned a masters, a PhD, worked my first career for 7 years, started a new career last year, and looking to buy a house.

I have been making annual hurricane threads since 2011 (maybe 2010).

I was going through an old thread I made where I needed to vent and I got a good laugh out of it. Made me realize how much family y’all are.

So I appreciate you kats in your own way. Some of you I definitely don’t fuck with like that, but the majority of the members here are ok with me.

Thanks for all the help and encouragement over the years. I appreciate the laughs and jokes. I appreciate you all for not just helping me, but other members find solstice in our darkest time in life. Because if you have been here for 20 years, then you have definitely gone through some shit and probably talked about it here.
 
I've been on the board since 1997 when dial up and AOL chat rooms were in their heyday. The irony is that I started on the original board by ordering VHS movies, which were eventually killed by the free content posted here.

I was never a heavy poster, but still think back fondly on board legends such as Darth Harlem.

It says that I joined in 05. It feels like I was on before that. Shit, I remember the whole think with the passwords to sites. I remember the whole Booty Talk Girlie Flicks stuff. Man, it's been a minute. I even changed my screen name when we went public because my old name was my actual initials.
