naw mayne, im waiting for the normal opening date. i needed my seats NOW. just trying to figure out how ima keep hiding from the staff here. they keep checking this theater and shit like they looking for something between movies.
i was never really into dr. strange. i primarily collected marvel and saw him in other comics.
but this looks fanfuckingtastic.
now i have seen my first trailer for this and i will watch no more until after i see the movie. i am already going to see it. no reason to have it ruined by spoilery trailers.

This is a NETFLIX series, not a movie.
I cosign this... Never read a one Dr strange....just know of him and his powers from other comics I've read. That being said... Everything Marvel puts out I'm like take my money.lol.I'm definitely going to see this.

The Doctor Strange trailer is out and in my opinion it did not disappoint. Here are three ways that Doctor Strange will change the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever.
3. There’s probably an Infinity Stone right under Doctor Strange’s nose: Before the Infinity Wars begin all of the Infinity Stones need to be accounted for. It is very likely Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange will encounter one of these in the film, my bet is that the Time Stone will be in the film and could even be Doctor Strange’s Eye of Agamotto that he wears around his neck. The Space Stone known as the Tesseract from Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers is safely locked up on Asgard. The Mind Stone is firmly planted in the center of The Vision’s forehead for now, formerly in Loki’s scepter, an odd choice by Thanos to send Loki with an Infinity Stone to retrieve and Infinity Stone but who am I to judge… The Reality Stone from Thor: The Dark World should still be with Taneleer Tivan, also known as The Collector. The Power Stone was given to Nova Prime on Xandar by Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy. The final stone may be discovered in the upcoming Black Panther movie, Ragnorak or even saved for the end goal of The Avengers: Infinity War.

Magic is being introduced to the MCU: Though there is little or no distinction between technology and magic on Asgard, this might be our first real introduction to magic proper in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. Yes, we already have Scarlet Witch but she has already be treated more as an “enchanced” or Inhuman rather than a magical entity. Doctor Strange has been more about battles between demons and even sorcerers and on a scale the Marvel Cinematic Universe has never seen, magic or no magic.

Multiple Dimensions: The Thor movies introduced us to many different realms, Ant-Man took us on a tour of the Quantum Realm, but it looks likeDoctor Strange will be the movie that brings multiple dimensions into the fold. This is right time and the right place to better explain how the Marvel universe is inter-connected with a good heap of exposition right before the final big fight against Thanos in The Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II. The visual in in the first trailer are stunning and a good way to prepare audiences for the absolute visual effects madness we will likely be getting in The Avengers: Infinity War and Thor: Ragnorak for that matter.

The 'Doctor Strange' Movie May Be The Linchpin For The Entire Marvel Cinematic Universe [Spoilers]
The new Doctor Strange trailer is goosebumps-good. The trailer is one of the only Marvel teasers that can induce a chill for Marvel fans. It is not just a passing response that results in brief goosebumps either, but one that produces a lasting tingle, like when you hear someone nail every note in the National Anthem. Tyrone Magnus posted his reaction to the trailer on YouTube and it was fairly typical.
Even for people who are not big fans of the character or the comic book, the trailer is affectual. Is it the fact that Benedict Cumberbatch from the series Sherlock has the lead role? Perhaps. Is it the visual effects? Maybe. Is it the thought of actual magic, as opposed to superpowers or mutations, being introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)? Possibly. The impact of the Doctor Strange trailer could also be due to the possibility that it is the one Marvel movie that may prove to be the linchpin that holds the entire MCU together.
[Warning: From here on there could be spoilers, theoretical and otherwise, for past and future Marvel movies, including Doctor Strange. If you are not current with your Marvel movies or do not partake in plotline speculation, don’t read any further.]
First, there is the concept of multiple dimensions or universes. The Nine Realms, as presented in the Thor movies, introduced the idea of nine worlds interconnected by the world tree Yggdrasil. This concept dates back to Norse mythology, and the Thor movies exposed a few of these realms.
In the Doctor Strange trailer, The Ancient One, played by Tilda Swinton, speaks of multiple realities. This acknowledgment of multiple realities nods to the concept of multiple dimensions. In Marvel comics, there are a multitude of dimensions or realms. Asgard, Thor’s home, is one of a few that have been introduced to the MCU. Doctor Strange will most certainly present at least one more in the form of The Dark Dimension.
The Dark Dimension is the home of Dormammu, who is a longtime foe of Strange in the comics. It is highly likely that the film will at least introduce viewers to this realm. After all, Doctor Strange will need an antagonist. However, the statement of The Ancient One about multiple realities should be enough assurance that the movie will elaborate upon the idea that multiple dimensions are a truth of the MCU.
Why is that important? It is important because part of the premise of the Infinity War relies on the cosmic entity Eternity, who has yet to debut in a film, attacking the Earth realm with superhero doppelgängers from another dimension. The Infinity War tie-in is what makes this movie an interesting one on which to speculate.
Doctor Strange could be the linchpin behind the complexity of the MCU as well as the very beginning, or at least the prelude to, the Infinity War. We already know that the Infinity War is coming due to hints in past movies and the title of the upcoming movie, Avengers: Infinity War. Theories on how Marvel will proceed with this story arc persist, but one, in particular, is quite interesting.
The Infinity War story arc is largely based on powerful artifacts known as Infinity Stones and Thanos’ use of them to power the Infinity Gauntlet. The Collector, in the Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy, described these six stones as “singularities left over from the Big Bang.”
Four of these stones have been found in previous Marvel films, and Doctor Strange could reveal the fifth. According to Moviepilot, the movie may expose one of the Infinity Stones to be contained in Stephen Vincent Strange’s amulet, the Eye of Agamotto. The theory is, in part, based on the fact that the four previously revealed stones have been protected or housed in a similar fashion.
“The Space Stone lies within the Tesseract (which first appeared back in Captain America: The First Avenger), while the Mind Stone is currently to be found in The Vision’s forehead [ed. Avengers: Age of Ultron], having spent some time in Loki’s Sceptre back in The Avengers. The Reality Stone, meanwhile, is currently being guarded by The Collector, having been deposited there after turning up in Thor: The Dark World as The Aether, while the previously Orb-contained Power Stone was left with the Nova Corps by the Guardians of the Galaxy after being reclaimed from the villainous Ronan.”
Could the next stone be found in Doctor Strange? The only stones not yet accounted for are the Time Stone and the Soul Stone.Moviepilot references “the theory of powerful objects” that was asserted by a Redditor named, stevethesquatch. His assumption makes the supposition that the Eye of Agamotto, being a powerful object, may house another Infinity Stone since the four previous stones have been linked to powerful objects. He also predicts which stone Doctor Strange’s amulet will contain.
“It’s simple; Doctor Strange will be using the powers of the Time Stone. The Eye of Agamotto has many different abilities, including the ability to see into the past and suspend time. Marvel produce [sic] Kevin Feige even said in an interview that the Eye would be dangerous in the wrong hands, especially with its ability to manipulate probability. This sounds an awful lot like the Time Stone and its powers.”
The speculation on the Doctor Strange trailer is indeed intriguing, and the visual effects shown in the trailer, with their surreal quality, are certainly unlike anything shown in a Marvel film so far. Those who fall into the hardcore Marvel fan camp will definitely be watching to find clues or elements that link Doctor Strange back to other MCU films.
However, for those in the general moviegoer camp, the trailer still makes the film look fantastic and intriguing. Whether it is the trailer’s lack of spandex-clad heroes or the stunning visual effects, the trailer seems to appeal to a wider audience than the usual Marvel fare.
No matter which camp you may fall into, the wait will not be long. Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4, 2016.

Tom Hiddleston would love it if screenwriters could conjure up a crossover between his Loki and Benedict Cumberbatch’s fellow magic-wielding Dr. Strange.
Now, that would be magical.
After actor Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki in “Thor: Ragnorak,” he could envision doing some mischief against Dr. Strange.
“In some hypothetical world, I don’t quite know when, for Loki and Dr. Strange to share the same frame would be very exciting indeed,” Hiddleston told the Daily News. “Because Benedict Cumberbatch is an old friend. So I would think it would be interesting to see who would get the upper hand.”
Hiddleston was reduced to a mewling fanboy when he watched the first teaser trailer for “Dr. Strange” this week — not least because Cumberbatch came to ask him about working with Marvel before even signing up to play the Sorcerer Supreme.
Loki and Dr. Strange have sparred in the pages of comic books over the years.
Years before they became Loki and Daredevil, Hiddleston and Charlie Cox bonded as struggling actors in Los Angeles.
He first met the newest superhero the Marvel Cinematic Universe during filming of Steven Spielberg’s “Warhorse” six years ago, the pair bonding over their repeated pratfalls during horseback riding training.
As a magic-wielding villain, Loki would be a good fit as a potential foil to volley spells with Dr. Strange in a sequel — assuming his character lives past the third “Thor” movie, which is set to go before cameras in June. The pair has battled in the pages of Marvel comic books in years past.
“Truthfully, I do actually know at the moment how many more times I’m going to play Loki, but I’m not going to tell you,” said Hiddleston. “It’s not personal it’s just keeping it fresh for all paying customers to enjoy their films.
“And also I’m the God of mischief so it’s my predisposition to play games.”
Less likely would be a Loki cameo in the third season of Netflix’s “Daredevil” — which stars one of his closest friends, Charlie Cox.
“We met in Los Angeles when we were both young actors and our respective agents, without knowing it, would put us up for the same parts,” says Hiddleston.
“Neither, of us would book any of these jobs needless to say. And after a run of kind of failing auditions together, it must have been the sixth or seventh audition, where I said, ‘Hey Charlie, should we go for lunch.’
“We’d get up at dawn and run or hike in canyons because they were there.”

And if he could convince Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige to have a scene involving Dr. Strange, Daredevil and Loki — “well, that would be a fun day at the office.
“We would probably just be comparing costumes,” says Hiddleston.
“That’s what happens on set, is just everyone starts laughing at each other because the costumes are so extreme. You’re standing there with the crew, everyone holding Styrofoam cups of coffee and everyone is wearing very brightly colored leather, that’s highly entertaining.”

Since Marvel announced that Tilda Swinton would play the role of Dr. Strange’s spiritual master the Ancient One, there’s been a loud outcry about yet another instance of casting a white actress as an Asian character. Marvel has been trying to diffuse the controversy through various means, including today’s announcement that suddenly, uh, the Ancient One is, uh... Celtic.
Here’s what a Marvel spokesperson told Mashable on the matter earlier today:
Marvel has a very strong record of diversity in its casting of films and regularly departs from stereotypes and source material to bring its MCU to life. The Ancient One is a title that is not exclusively held by any one character, but rather a moniker passed down through time, and in this particular film the embodiment is Celtic. We are very proud to have the enormously talented Tilda Swinton portray this unique and complex character alongside our richly diverse cast.
Where to even begin? First, I guess, Marvel actually believes that we’ll believe that this movie character was ever meant to be of Celtic origin, despite no one on the cast or crew ever even hinting at it prior to today. I’m sure Marvel just forgot to mention this key fact all the other times people asked them about the lack of Asian actors in their live-action entertainment.
Second, the fact that Swinton is no longer ostensibly playing an Asian person is good (by which I mean it’s really the bare minimum of what Hollywood should be achieving) but her sudden Celticism doesn’t change the actual problem, which is that yet another Asian character has been given to a white person. Another role that could have—should have—gone at an Asian actor to help increase Marvel’s diversity was instead taken away, and the fact that Marvel somehow doesn’t even recognize this is the issue is both baffling and disheartening.
And third, just for kicks: Marvel already has one bone-white Caucasian who gets to become the ultimate master of mystical Asian arts over all its native practitioners. Maybe it didn’t need another.
