Do women add value on BGOL?

I always wonder about the kinds of women on a board like this... I mean there are always the girls that have more male friends than female ones and just feel more comfortable hanging with the fellas, but unless they're blowing guys on here offline (or virtually these days), what really is the value add of having (alleged) women on this website?

...And on the flip side, what is the value for the women? We all know there are tons of places to get porn online, and lots of female focused boards. So other than snooping on a potential boyfriend, what value is gained for the ladies from being on a board like this? Can some of the women (alleged women included) chime in on this one.

It's pretty obvious that I can't speak for all BGOL women, but I'll take a stab at it.

I am one of those girls who hangs out almost exclusively with other women, so when I first joined, I appreciated the ability to be a fly on the wall of the vast room that is the psyche of men.

On our value to the board- I guess unless you guys want to change the name to BMOL (Black Men Online)- you need girls for balance.

BGOL is not a online porn site, it is an open uncensored, politically-incorrect, informative, and fun forum.

BGOL is an honest view of the black community and features a large cross section of individual views and opinions.
 
A lot of women give great insight to the female perspective on issues. From mouse, coco, legacy even to women that love to battle (Lola, Esther), there's value in their perspective on everyday issues. Women like Sinn Love might give insight to the endeavors that she has. If nothing else there is value in balance. Not trying to be in any social environment with no women around.
 
This could end up being a very interesting thread.

Of course women add value to bgol. I remember it used to be said bgol was the "barbershop", well even in the barbershop women pop up occasionally. It tends to add balance to perspective sometimes. I think more women lurk than post though. The problem seems to me, the more extreme personalities seem to have the stronger voice and the less opinionated ones leave or go back to lurking. But every once in a while they drop gems.

What I think they get out of being here? It depends on who you're talking about. For some, I think it's attention and getting a rise out of the fellas. For some it's not that different than what we're here for, to look at ass and get free shit. For some, it's more to see our unfiltered thoughts on things.

This is how we see it. I think it comes down to what you want to call it. Some see it as only porn. Some see it as something else. Unless it's a pinky thread or a thread about dark skinned women? I don't go in the porn threads. But the news stuff? And the overall type topics? Yeah.

It was a joke response to what Desire said. You guys are too serious about things that just don't require it. People we've met up with and made connections with are who we do. Not everything is for everybody. Value is subjective to each being.

Why would a men's forum not want women around? IMO women are always welcomed. It would be boring without them.
