yeah i'm a lil vexed right now cuz i just got finished reading a post on the main board about asian women and then it went into black women and it reallllllly bothered me, especially the hypocrisy of the comments.

then there were the extra comemnts made that stood out like:
most black women aint nothin to brag about
they are only good for their bodies
i don't fuck with them anymore...it's easier to be with other types of chics....no headaches

and things of that nature

i KNOW they don't speak for the majority of black men but i just had to make a thread about it

so men, do you still love black women? why? why not? what irks you about them?

and women...do you still feel loved by black men? why? why not?

I'm married to a black woman
the things I like and the things I dislike about her are not because she's black.

All american women are the same to me, dont matter if they are white, black, asian, hispanic they all do the same dumb shit

I still love black women. Actually I never stopped...

P.S. For some reason this thread reminds me of another one on SOL...:dunno::lol::dunno:

The real question is do we even want those men who think we are too much trouble? If they think we're not worth the hassle then they are not worthy of our time.....

Btw.... they still love us. They just like to talk that mess.

I'm not a black man, but my perspetive on the issue is that *some* black men want us to bow down to them and praise them blindly like our mothers and grandmothers did. And a lot of black women today have their shit together. There ain't gonna be no praising a black man if they don't have it together. So then we get all these stereotypes. That's one kind of black man I know who don't have positive things to say about black women--the one who resents a successful and confident black woman.

Another type of black man is the one who when he was younger, black women wouldn't give him the time of day for whatever reason. And he worked hard to be succesful, buy the best car, have a nice place to stay, an then give black women the middle finger to go find his "other" princess.

The last kind of black man I know who is not interested in black women or only has negative things to say about black women: the young/young-minded man. He has bought into the idea of "exotic" women. Which basically means he likes any women other than black women.

My point is, fuck em. If they don't want me, there's 10 more to choose from. I'm not crying any tears and I'm not waiting for they asses

are we really afraid of sisters who are successful or do you put brothers down when you are succeeding and they aren't. to the contrary sisters also need to understand that yelling out loud and being mean isn;t a sign of strength. strength is inner and outer. strength is in words and attitude not ignorance. (present company excluded)

white men have power because they have lied, stolen, murdered and pillaged everything. history has been rewritten and the system of keeping black men and women apart is all but alive in the current series of this topic. you think black women having more jobs available to them as opposed to black men is just brothers being lazy and can;t get a job? no its designed that way. before anyone says "stop blaming the white man" recognize how deep the issue of race supremacy is in this hateful country. planned parent hood or abortion in the hood introduced years ago was a population control scheme and as you look for our 20 million plus asses to grow, how come we haven;t.. the design is larger than what you think it is. its deeper than what you can fathom.. its like the man in the iron mask but deeper. we were the first now we are the last, but the last shall be first.

I stated very clearly that these are the types of black men that I know who say they don't mess with black women or prefer non-black women.

^^^But by taking this "fuck em" attitude you totally overlook the foundation of some of these brothers grievances with black women and therein lies part of the problem.

You sound like a positive sister who has her head in the right direction so dont worry yourself too much about other peoples choices. (wrong headed or otherwise)

The proof is in the pudding and after all's said and done, I'd rather be with a woman who shares similar interests, values and a life affirming mindstate that'll guarantee that we'll have a long lasting relationship based on love and mutual respect.

I'm believing she'll be a sista.:)

whats funny is that asian women are cool.. they are pretty yes, they come from a very thin gene pool which is why a lot of asian women look alike.

Huh??? They only "look alike" to the ignorant, not to each other. Black folks should be aware of the stupidity of this type of dehumanizing stereotype.

:smh:

Black women are the most beautifulest women on this earth. I have never dated women outside of the race, I don't no why none of them have ever really just caught my eye. But yeah nothing like a black women better conversation, looks, bodies, and the sex is better well since i never step out i just going off what my boys say. But I think the majority of men who don't date black women anymore are scared of a women who knows what she wants or aggressive women but that just means their pussy anyway!

Nope. What I mean by "fuck em" is that I am going to move on to a black man who is willing to learn about me as an individual and give me what I need, instead of waiting for a man who tells me right off the bat that he is not interested in black women. He made his choice and that's fine. Why would I waste my time with him since he already made up his mind?

to answer your question...

speaking from a black man who dates any race, yes I do love black women the most. The only problem, I cannot find a black woman thats into 60% of the stuff I'm into. From politics *really not an issue with me but still*, to music, its really hard to find a black chick thats on my level, and wants the same thing I want. Until then, I'm going to date who I wanna date.

BTW, I love all women. Every race.

I feel that on the flipside as a sister into some "different" things, but I always have and always will PREFER black men (I mean yall are the best in my eyes- looks, sense of humor, style, etc) but won't be sitting home alone because of a preference if I find another that suits me.

Overall, I think Black men still love and will alwasy love Black women, but there is a lot of frustration between us which should not be directed at one another. The problem is that we tend to run from one another instead of running to one another which I really don't find with other ethnicities. They may have that same dilemna, but they are not my concern.

As a Black man, I have never had any gripes with Black women except over the weight issue. It is is because I love Black women and I know the ailments associated with obesity. I do admit that both sexes are to blame in that regards.

I find many sistas my age who are angry at Black men for no other reason than the fact they are not introspective enough to look in the mirror and reflect on the choices they made. Although I am not a religious person, this preacher I know said, "If all you get are dogs then you are a dogcatcher."

My point is that there seems to be a lot of pain betwen us both, and we do complain about one another, but our destiny lies within.

until i die and even if the earth rots with rats and shit i'll still love black women. i don't want you to bow down to me, thats a feminist way of thinking and it goes against our history. we each have roles and so far black women have been playing the man role for a few now. time to get back to what made us get this far.

:yes::yes::yes:

I love yall. always will. even the ones that like to argue. just makes the sex better.:) just playing all the stereotypes are stupid, we are a diverse people. I prefer black women but I love them all. I like strong women especially.

Beautifully stated MassaQ. Too much pain, bitterness and blame, not enough compassion and cohesion.

Yes it was.

MassaQ you need to post that in the Do Black Women Still Love Black Men thread. Because I think it would be important for those who think negatively to hear that.

I LOVE BLACK WOMEN...just not the bullshit they try to pull on me 'cause of the last asshole or a few assholes back.

But yes...I love Black women with a passion uncontested!

I love a woman with some flavor. I have only dated black women (one cuban girl when I was much younger). There is nothing but love in my heart for black women !!

Honestly as a Black woman living in Toronto, Canada I don't feel loved by the Black man ... I would say about 8 out of 10 black men down here date outside the race ... and out of those 8 maybe 3 of them only date outside the race meaning they don't fuck with any black girls AT ALL ... the dating outside of the race doesn't bug me as much anymore cuz I've gotten used to it ... it's the mentallity that goes along with it that hurts my heart ... you will hear alot of "we date other women cuz Black women are rude, gold diggers, have too many kids" etc ... these are the same men that will say they hate being stereotyped but they think it's okay to stereotype us:confused:I must admit that I thought black men everywhere were like that until I came on BGOL ... I have heard alot of the men on here say they only date Black women which surprised me and made me smile at the same time:)

by the way...i love Black woman...but a lot of them dont know how to be loved so...ill give em some time to grow while i do me. I love everything about Black woman...they nose, thick lips, warm hips, fiesty attitudes. I fucks with their struggles and pain and i know that if i dont love them no one else will. I don't know who any self-respecting black man who has a mom has honestly say that they dont love Black men. Black love, where did it go?

:yes::yes::yes::yes:

This why the love is so strong. I don't think a person of another race could ever truly understand the daily struggles we go through. . . . just like we wouldn't be able to truly understand theirs.
