Further, if I had children from a divorce I would take care of my own kids. I don't need a motherfucker to do that for me. Nor do I need anybody to stand in for me when my kids need me for anything. I would let them know upfront too.

No, you don't. This is why I am not a step parent, and anyone who doesn't have children already should not agree to that kind of contract. Also, if you do agree to be a step parent then you agree to helping out, not to become the total caretaker. You may become that. This is the current situation we are in now, but her children are not legally your issue (child/children). If you get divorce from her, then the court system will not come after you for child support, unless you adopt the issues (child/children). So, you aren't truly responsible for taking care of her and the father's problem. even nature ain't with the fuck shit. Most times the father animal kills the offspring of the previous male leader.

men are supposed to be the head of household..men are tasked with protecting and providing for the FAMILY. If a MAN agrees to marry a woman who already has children and the bio-father isn't taking care of his responsibility then its the new man, by marrying her, who tacitly agrees to take care of the kids. If he doesn't want that responsibility then he shouldn't get involved.

But if she married a man, he does inherit this kids as part of the package. They’re now his family so he’ll do what needs to be done within reason to support them.
If they all go out to dinner, he can’t just pay for her and be looking at her crazy expecting her or the child’s Father to pay for the kids.
At the same token, if there’s sports or other bills that were there before him, then the Mom and the child’s Father needs to handle that. And the new man can help out, if needed.
But all of this is within a serious relationship or marriage. If they’re just dating, then he should do what he feels.
