Disgruntled Amazon Prime customers complain that packages arrive late

Same day delivery from @amazon didn't happen yesterday as it was guaranteed. Gave the benefit of the doubt that I would receive it today... NOPE! Now I'm being told it will be delivered tomorrow 9-12p. The same day turned into 2-day delivery! Talk to the customer service rep and they gave me free month of amazon prime... I'm still pissed though.

The Exact same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago!

The stuff I ordered didn’t arrive even though it said delivered. A couple days pass and I login to Amazon and talk to a rep via instant message. He assures me that my package will be there by 8pm that day. I left the convo feeling great!

So I call the next day when I see no package. The rep sees the notes from the person I spoke to but couldn’t do anything about it other than give me a month free :smh:

USPS is good for marking packages delivered that they haven't delivered to get in by whatever deadline they have. I've had them say they couldn't get in the yard because of a dog, or that it was delivered, and then two days later it shows up. I've also had amazon packages delivered that didn't belong to me, and it was probably two weeks before I saw a postal worker before I could give it to him. Hell I think I gave it to him, it might still be here. Amazon is good for replacing lost stuff. It's only happened once or twice to me, but they reshipped with no problem. They are excellent on refunding returns also. Often I have items the same day UPS scans the label, even if they haven't received the item back.

I think people don’t realize it’s the carrier system is the issue. I send out 500 packages a month. Inevitably 5-10 people hit me up saying where my package it says delivered but they don’t have it. This increased from 0-2 a month when amazon started using usps.

I’ve started selling with Amazon has lot of ups but if someone just calls and says my package not there or something not right they automatically refund which kills me as a seller, cause we are OFFICIAL. Lol.

It’s all part of biz but it’s going to get worse before it gets better. Amazon is smart and taking and sending the customer a pic is the first step in decreasing the frauds out here scamming.

Yep it’s the carrier and not specifically Amazon. I see unmarked vans delivering Amazon’s goods and them niggas leave packages anywhere.

What people don't realize is that you wont necessarily get your items two days from after you click submit. It will take a day or two for the items to be processed before they are shipped.

I never have this problem but I will say their Amzl delivery drivers are ASS!

I hit a few licks on their dumb asses for leaving my shit outside and not telling me!

Over 1k in free shit so I can’t be mad

I don't have any issues but thank God one day when they dropped of a package they took a pic bec they dropped it off a couple doors down in the fourplex I live in. :hmm:

I haven’t really ever had any issues with them. As others have noted, the one or two times they’ve ever been late with a delivery, I got a free month on my membership for each occurrence.

If anything, I’ve actually had items get their delivery date bumped up.

Amazon can’t control the company that does the delivery.
It’s never going to be 100% in delivery time.

Gonna be honest
I still dont understand the benefit of Amazon prime

its not a big deal to those that live in major cities.

but for those that live in rural areas or cities that are "behind" prime is a lifesaver.

i currently live in an area that doesn't have many stores that i am accustomed to having down the street. so prime with its 2 day shipping helps me alot. in addition to that there are alot of other services included in prime that i may not use often but are nice to have. but the 2 day shipping pays for prime for me with ease.

someone mentioned microcenter above. i used to be at that store at least every two weeks. the closest one here is 5 hours away. there is no louis vuitton or other high end stores here.

people don't like to hear me say it but memphis is 20-30 years behind major cities. if you live in an area like this prime helps alot.

Last week my 1 day package took 3..

But hey we get free C list movies and blockbusters from the 90s tho
:dunno:

the cloud storage options are really under rated. as are some of the other features of prime.

i rarely use prime video. but that will be changing since there are strong indicators that they are picking up The Expanse.

Ive had this issue already 3 times.

My two day package comes in 3 days and then they dont leave it at my door but take it to an access point or to the post office and I get it on day 4.

No, if you're a Prime member, Amazon guarantees you'll get Prime-eligible items within 2 days. They refund the membership fee even if it was technically the carrier's fault

I too have received Prime packages late. UPS is also guilty of the same thing. Even delivering to my packages to my next door neighbor. The carriers are one thing but the end result that matters most is the people they hire. In my area I can only give them a fair rating on reliability.

Man sometimes my 2 day shipping comes that night or the next day. Never had a problem with stuff arriving late but I stay next to a Amazon Prime that's like 10 minutes away.
same here. i've been expecting my stuff to come in 2 days and sometimes its there the next day.
no complaints from me. i guess it benefits having an amazon warehouse not too far away.

I live in Alaska. When I first started with amazon about 10 years ago, they really pushed getting things here in 2 days. The last couple of years not so much, usually within a week. Sometimes they get on some fuck you shit called "parcel pool" which can take two weeks.

Yep, from time to time things show up late, especially if it is a small item that they may hand of to USPS. As a rule I never order so that prime delivery is going to happen on Sat or Sun, the in-house Amazon people have so many deliveries to make in a day, they always come late and my UPS store closes at 5p on Sat and not Open on Sun. So YES, Prime stuff does show up late from time to time but not bad enough to make me cancel Prime. :smh:

I’m a Over The Road Truck Driver.

Amazon is using UPS and the USPS for their bulk deliveries.

I can tell you that both can barely deliver the mail and freight they normally have coming thru.

They both use outside contractors to move shit. FedEx is the same.

I have picked up UPS loads number of times. Sometimes my company will pull their trailers or they will use ours. They both use a variety of outside contractors.

Outside contractor carriers are having a hard time filling driving positions for Over The Road.

Younger people don’t want to be on the road and work the odd hours. They also don’t want to work the entry level pay. They want the big money as soon as they walk in the door.

The older veteran drivers are nearing retirement.

You would be surprised how much freight is sitting in yards and terminals waiting for pick up across this country. And how much freight is sitting in warehouses waiting to be loaded on trailers.

I had a UPS driver show up in a U-haul truck one Christmas when he made my delivery.

Haven't had to many bad experiences with Prime, but Google Express has been good to me lately.

you know how rich amazon is, fammo? they can control a small country already.
