Just to verify the significance of doing away with DDot is since Detroit has the larger population it gets more money from the Fed's. The burbs are making a run for that money EVEN Tho they don't want Detroiters to have access to their communities even if they are working :smh:

I didn't follow the whole story but this is straight puzzling to me.

Between the money he makes and income tax refunds every year he never made enough to get a cheap car? He hasn't been able to find a better job in 10 years that he can get to on the bus line?

He said he only gets a few hours of sleep a night. I wish the brother well, but he is literally killing himself to make someone else rich who doesn't give a crap.

I just have an personal issue with this shit. I grew up with people applauding people for doing the bare minimum or normal shit, and discouraging people for trying to do something out of the ordinary.

I want to see my people come up. That is a real passion for me. But, its like, a lot of the discussions i've had, and a lot that i hear, it makes me think we've been conditioned to just accept any damn thing. I know everybody can't be on some boss shit...

...but no one can convince me - especially if we worked together - we could be operating on a much higher level.

Once again, i can respect that kind of commitment and discipline, but that kind of commitment and discipline should have definitely been used for something greater than walking to walk every day for ten years. He's shown the capacity to go extremely hard for crumbs...

...why not go extremely hard for a whole slice of the pie?

I live 6 1/2 hours from Chicago Joe......Graduated from the same University as Mcdermott........anyways.
I'm not saying ride a bike in a fucking blizzard Fam. I'm simply implying that during the times when there isn't snow or ice that he could ride a bike. Enough to offset walking every workday he doesn't get a ride. Cmon bruh, this guy clearly hasn't made the best life decisions here, that's undeniable. I'm for anyone who betters themselves whether on their own or by the hand of others, just to be clear. I genuinely hope this is motivation for him (and others) to elevate out of some of life's difficulties.
