Denver must be mad that they aren't gonna make the playoffs?

Because they are about to wrap up putting an economy sized ass whooping on the Seattle Super Sonics.

Denver was almost up 60 at one point in the 4th

Diawara and JR Smith were still bombing away 3s down to the end of the game.

Talk about a morale killer for the city of Seattle... If the team owner trying to move them wasn't bad enough :smh:

Denver isn't seeded high enough to make the playoff??
I did not know that!!

Ironicially, Phildadelphia is though

:lol::lol::lol: I caught that. :rolleyes:

But I posted earlier in the year I liked Philadelphia's team and now they're a game under .500

I don't think at this point that AI2 is good enough to lead them past a .500 record but they've got some nice players in Lou Williams, Thad, Andre Miller.

on a side note, i think that the suns may have the toughest schedule down the stretch.

most of their remaining games are against teams .500 or better, AND most of those games are on the road too.

Damn Camby had a triple double and shit too?! He is getting kinda slept on...go look at his stats not just from this game...the past few years

I just saw the boxscore from that game. They beat the shit outta Seattle. Damn!!

What is PJ Carlissimo a friend of Isiah Thomas or something?
I guess he isn't part of the NC clique either

The fucked up part of moving to a better team, it's in a way better conference...

Denver would kill Philly in a best of 7... Honestly only because they're in the punk-ass east are these teams in the play-offs.

By record, in a true best "16-in" format...

1 Celtics 52-13
2 Pistons 48-18
3 Rockets 46-20
4 Lakers 45-21
5 Jazz 44-24
6 Hornets 44-21
7 Suns 44-22
8 Mavericks 44-23
9 Spurs 44-22

10 Magic 44-24
11 Warriors 41-24
12 Nuggets 40-26

13 Cavaliers 38-29
14 76ers 33-34
15 Wizards 33-32
16 Trail Blazers35-32

And by default since they play in a tremendously weaker conference, the Cavaliers, 76ers, Wizards, Magic, Celtics, and Pistons have a weaker schedule and would probably get bounced by a lower seeded team... In a true format the Celtics and the Pistons probably wouldn't make the finals.

..yall trying to make this personal, right??

I spoke of the chance of a Iverson-less Sixers squad making the playoffs while an Iverson led Nuggets squad would in another thread.

The irony is that this is the best start of a Nuggets team in quite sometime and they on pace to win at least 50 games (their schedule down the stretch is favorable.) But that may not be enough to get a playoff spot.

I am looking forward to A.I.s first game back in Philly coming up within the next two weeks.

i OFTEN wonder why people adhere to these notions that the eastern conference is weaker (much less tremendously).

IMO, it's the WORSTern conference that is apparently MUCH weaker.

take the dallas mavericks, for example. it's been MORE than 1 month since they defeated a team .500 or better.

OF COURSE your conference is going to have teams with spectacular win/loss records when you're padding the win column with victories over a string of WEAK SISTERS and TOMATO CAN opponents.

i'm NOT saying that there aren't some GOOD, TALENTED squads in the WORSTern conference. i AM saying there's not as many as people like to imagine.

take a look at how the fakers, mavericks, hornets and jazz have padded their records beating up on the WORSTern conference and then tell me different.

I cant believe Steven A. Smith predicted them as da west coast champs at da start of the season. That team is missing something, and no its not D(thats plain obvious).

I don't know why people didn't believe me when I said this earlier in the year, but the Nuggets weakest position is the West strongest. (Power Forward.) The loss of Nene hurt, but even if he was healthy, he wasn't enough of a low post threat or a consistent enough defender to defend the 4s in the league. Kenyon Martin is trying to fill the gaps (and has done an admirable job) but he has no post game. Ron Artest would not have helped that team, because he is strong, but not tall enough. Besides Martin is doing the same job.

They also need to find a defensive identity, which is why I want Van Gundy as coach. But the 4 spot must be addressed if they want to contend next year.
