Okay here's the situation.
You're at a club with your man. While walking to the bar alone you encounter an old male friend you haven't seen in a long time. He's clearly drunk and has a very angry vibe about him, but it's been a long time so you say hello. He picks a bullshit fight with you and threatens to punch you in the face.
Your man sees what's going on so he walks up to both of you. He smiles and says "hey, c'mon guys. No need to fight. We're all friends here." The bouncers sense a commotion so they step up. The friend thinks better of continuing the fight so he steps away.
IMO the man fucked up. When a man is ready and willing to physically assault your woman you have a moral obligation to both her and your gender to beat the living shit out of this threat or die trying. Nothing else matters. You may get killed, arrested, or lose all your teeth, but that's just the price you pay to be in a relationship. If you're not willing to defend your woman then you need to let her go before something goes down.
Then again, I could be completely out of line here. Ladies, what do you think? Could you ever respect your man again after he reacted this way?
