RIP for your pops, I know how tough it is to lose a parent!
I know a lot of kats knock us here on BGOL for being too hard on people, but it good to see how we rally behind our brothers in time of need!

My condolences to you and your family. Having lost my Father in 95 and my Grandmother on May the 10th i share your pain but know this it will get better with time.

What's good brethren, I make this post in regard to the recent death of my father this past week, He passed just this Thursday february 8th @ about 2:30 in the A.M., He had a long bout with Prostate Ca.If you cats can recall I made a post about going to (The Dec..) Decatur G.A., Although it didn't happen I somehow/someway ended up having him living with me...which I wanted to happen anyway because of the living situation he was in...I put up a long HARD rigorous four months of running him to the V.A. I carry mine with me always (my Grandpop's one too) BOTH not long after the loss of his wife and other remaining daughter from Jamaica, plus my cousin around my age

Lost The Father in '03 after fighting with similar complications in addition to acid and blood flow issues and my ole Earth's a Registered Nurse(married for 43 yrs) so we spent everyday with him during sick;
even nursed him in the home he built for himself and family with hospital type care around the clock through hiss hard times yet he NEVER COMPLAINED

As a Man Raised By a REAL MAN in days where that's becoming extinct, you know the strength and lessons he chose to instill in you to carry on in a similar image and positive vein as he did

My Pops passed about the same time when Luther wrote
Dance with My Father so can totally sympathize and feel EXACTLY what he was getting across through his song - he kissed me and made sure I was safe coming into this world & I was there for him and kissed him upon his brow when he passed and returned back to the Essence;
A friend of mine also lost his to some sort of freak mishap in a hospital;
All of us that have withstood the hardship stand with u inspirit and stride

One year and 2 months for me today. Colon cancer finished mine off. I didn't even get to say goodbye to him. A stroke took his voice days before he died. All I could do was sit there an watch him go. Believe it or not, he'll still be with you in some strange way. Even after all this time, I dream of him talking to me. You'll constantly see things that remind you of him. You have my condolences.
 
Sorry for your loss bruh. I commend you on your strength of character to stand by your father through such an unfortunate situation. I know he appreciated your love and care during his struggle. We can all only hope that our children will love and honor us enough to do what you have done for your dad should the situation arise.
Its a sad occasion because of your loss but I know your father is in a better place with a proud smile.

My condolences fam multiple illnesses took my dad before he could see me graduate college:( . You did the right thing taking care of him. It makes you stronger and embodies the ideals and principles he would want you to have.
 
Keep your head up. The beginning of last year was a hard one for my family as well I lost two relatives the beginning of the year in January and March. I'm still getting over it. I only wish I could have been there for my fam like you were for your father. My prayers go out to you and your family. It's times like this that make family bonds stronger. My condolences.

I am sorry for your loss. You did well for your family taking care of him. I gave a year of my life taking care of my Grandmother, whom Feb. 12 turned 94. I did that in 2004-5. So I know about sacrifice. You did right.

I'm sure your father passed on to the next level, knowing how much you truly cared for him in his life. Stay strong, and share what you did so others know how they should do as they can.

My condolences Bru. I lost my father a few years back so I know what you're going through. Hold your head.
 
Man I really feel for you my dad is still alive but he lives on the west coast and I am on the east and I miss him everyday. I know he is getting old and his health is not the best so I plan on someday getting closer to him. I feel for you deeply my brother and I appreciate your dedication to him! May god bless you all!
