DeAndre Hopkins among players to react to NFL's vaccine memo to teams

You're right about its their league. What I'm saying is that they are setting themselves up for a major lawsuit if one of these players have complications from the vaccine. The argument will be "I was coerced to take a vaccine I didn't want to take". Will it work? Depending on the judge.

You know they won’t win that lawsuit. Won’t even come close.

Nobody is making them do anything they don’t want to do. Just like those nurses that walked out the hospital in Houston and they filed a lawsuit and lost. So they were all given the option to get the vaccine and keep their job or not get it an be fired.

This shit got people making life decisions.

Makes me sad to say I was once a football player. These new niggas are just dumb. They have it too easy and actually think cacs care about them. Who raised them?
Your right. Shit is absolutely fuckin ridiculous man. :smh:

That is fine. The will no longer be NFL players though. They need to find another job.

Doesn't that sound fair? What is the controversy.

If your jobs has rules you do not want to follow, then you no longer have a job.

Very simple.

Not everybody wants to take experimental drugs never used on humans before. Sounds like a lot of you dummies did it though. Good luck in the future.

I feel what you're saying, but on the flip side, seeing how the texans dealt him away, I'm pretty sure he's aware the fans and owners don't care much about him(players), so why not make the best decision for himself... For me if he has that POV and is still wearing a mask, he ain't hurting no one... It that means fuck the NFL and walking away, it is what it is, financially him and his kids are good...

this is white people shit and to hear a brotha saying this ignant shit is disheartening. get the fucking vaccine and shut the fuck up. oh yeah.....fuck the nfl (not for this)

Hopkins has paid for the funeral of an innocent 7yr old black girl that was murdered by a cracka... Flipped off trump worshipers... Has created/sponsored a lot Black community outreach programs and initiatives, but now that it is known he doesn't want the vaccine, he's all of a sudden "following the yt man" and all these other things... There's a lil contingency of vaccinated people on here that for some reason think not getting the vax is some trump follower shit, dead wrong... Now the muhfuckas that are not getting vaxxed because of political reasons or conspiracies then yeah, you've found the village idiots...

How doesn't it?

Being vaccinated decreases the probability of you contracting COVID which would then lessen the chances of you spreading it to other teammates and staff?

What do you think I'm missing?
you said: help prevent his team mates from contracting COVID-19
The vaccine doesn't stop the spread. It only makes the "symptoms not as bad"
In many cases, the vaccinated are responsible for further transmission because they think like you do.

Something that people seem to keep glancing over.. You guys do know that there are unvaccinated people who haven't died from covid right? Unvaccinated who have caught covid, had not serious symptoms or were asymptomatic and have no issues? People keep on speaking as if you're not vaccinated you're going to die from covid and that's not the case, there is a risk of death just like there is a risk of death with taking the vaccine, no matter how small you want to make that number out to be, the risk is there.

Also, something people don't mention a lot is that there are people who have gotten the vaccine and still died from a covid variant, over a thousand so far, which again I don't care how insignificant you want to try to make that number in comparison, there is still over 1000 dead people who thought the vaccine was going to save them from that fate. Plus there are many who are vaccinated and are suffering from negative side effects that affect their daily lives.

Whether someone gets it or not is their prerogative, I don't push anyone in one direction or the other because as much as I understand both sides, I also understand the risks of both sides.

The vaccine does slow the spread because it decreases your likelyhood of contracting covid. Less people with Covid equal less spread. No it's not 100% but if my risk of contracting COVID is less then my risk of spreading it is also less.

Yes. That's what I said lol.

But I guess if you still get that shit while vaccinated the NFL won't cancel your teams game right?
Right?

Take that shit at your own risk.

Another coach in the league, New England Patriotsco-offensive line coach Cole Popovich, also won't be with his team in 2021 in a decision related to the COVID-19 vaccine and NFL guidelines, league sources confirmed to ESPN.

The vaccine is required for all Tier 1 staff, including coaches, front-office executives, equipment managers and scouts. Players are not required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine but will face strict protocols during training camp and throughout the season that vaccinated players will be able to forgo.

In a memo released by the league this summer, the NFL said any unvaccinated Tier 1 staff member must provide a valid religious or medical reason for not receiving the vaccine. Losing Tier 1 status prohibits coaches from being on the field and in meeting rooms and having direct interactions with players.
