They made Rip into a super villain. I'm all in on this. Fucking Tuesday's are legit.
I can agree with that as well.
But Season 1 was such a shit show... I struggled trying to finish it out. This season has been focused.
Like how Malcolm and Darhk work off each other.

they really starting to figure out how to balance the story lines better.
Dude I absolutely HATED the Damion Darhk story from arrow, their interaction this 2nd half has been great chemistry and balance.
i completely agree they COMPLETELY misused that actor as Darhk...it was too long convoluted boring and repetitive...
but this season I love how they are weaving ALL the shows together with little touches and references.
I KNOW many hate Berlanti...
but I really can't sh*t on him
he made the WB a little DC universe completely interlocking all these properties

Who hates Berlanti... Dude started what we have now. I don't think we would have any of these Dark Superhero and Syfy shows of Arrow didn't knock it out of the park that first season. Arrows influences are everywhere.
My only issue is that he might have two much on his plate and it showed Arrow season 3 and 4.

they now had the blueprint of success and made Flash a HIT...
And Supergirl NEVER should have been on CBS, and right now while NOT a bgol favorite?
It has a loyal audience and I think its important that each GROUP has their OWN show that can just be ITSELF and you GOTTA give Beralani credit for that...
He rushed Legends and that was a clusterf*ck but he got his footing again and to be honest since he has gotten a SOLID staple of writers and directors (ie Kevin Smith) and ROTATES them to each show...
now the ENTIRE UNIVERSE is benefiting....
To the point now I think they could EASILY add Constantine on the schedule
because MAGIC had now been addressed on ALL the shows.
Again it AIN'T PERFECT...far from it...
but I feel like now that FLASH knows EXACTLY what it is?
Arrow does too now and Legends too and Supergirl especially seems much more comfortable in its own skin.
I STILL give Berlanti props.

Evil Rip is a great character.
But they could have just shot dude in the leg.
Man dude was sitting there captive and Sarah was shot... they knew she was shot and these mutherfuckers are not only talking about Tinder but they decide to bone and fall asleep for an hour... oh and then .. after knowing they slept for an hour.. dude still wants to mess around.

That's the problem with time travel shows with a black cast. You can't sugar coat that era. They did have a really good episode last year with Jax that I thought was pretty good and an episode this year with burning of the slavers house.

Why have Firestorm if you aren't going to use him? That's like having superman in the team & all you have him do is write reports.
The device that allows for them to merge into Firestorm was knocked out by the EMP. Same reason why the Atom was stuck in his miniaturized state.

it seems like its more a question of budget than story most of the time
and its getting increasingly obvious and irritating

That's where they messed up, they should have never let firestorm join the team, the only time they ever show firestorm is when there is a big fight scene which are probably the most expensive scenes to film. They need to bring back those stop motion no filter scenes that they did last season.
Dude, this should not be a surprise at all considering the nature of the writers of these shows.
It's not the function of these White writers to write strong Black characters in loving relationships with other (heterosexual) Black characters.
Think about it; with (4) successful TV shows airing throughout the week, (Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl & Legends of Tomorrow) only ONE of them features a Black couple.
(The Flash this season bought Danielle Nicolet as a love interest for Joe West. But I get the feeling she's either going to turn out to be a villain, get killed or leave the relationship for some reason.)
These writers have basically decided that the recurring Black people in their series must:
- Be light skinned or have medium complexion.
- Be in interracial relationships.
- Be gay.
Only John Jones and Mr. Terrific are dark skinned characters. One is in a gay/interracial relationship and the other one is virtually sexless...
I said it before; I'll say it again. These writers write Black characters the exact same way that Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry do.)

the comics and even his brief cartoon stint same thing...but he always LOOKED so damn cool.
His only weakness was organic materials.
