i havent watched Ozark in forever, but the first season had a gay FBI agent with a Black boyfriend who was also one.

There is most certainly an Agenda but it's been coming from the government. Now I was feeling that shit...like man this is DOPE... It was all going well until the lil brother who was cool as fuck for the first couple episodes randomly gets his ass kicked for talking shit to some cracker. Magically some random white dude picks him up off the street after he got fucked up and nursed him back to health...you know being a stand up citizen. Nigga why later on the good citizen starts to "romanticize" the young brother (Had absolutely nothing to do with the plot at all) and they get on some gay shit???? Fam...that shit had NOTHING to do with the story line at all...LITERALLY NOTHING. They do some super gay shit and after that the character disapears for the rest of the series!
I stopped watching that shit immediately

I was making a point about the past. Whatever representation gays get now had to be won. It's not like they have always had control over how they're portrayed and represented.
If you're saying they get better portrayals than Black ppl get nowadays, that means their fight to get that was more effective. We should be taking a page out of their book rather than complaining about seeing them on TV.
