I can see that applies to some....
But that is a danger when everything is a comparison instead of focusing on building us.
Not enough people understand what they eat don't make me shit.
Politicians don't think about us because they don't have to and they know they will still get 90+% of the black vote...
black folks should not turn away allies but they should also not forsake what we want and what we need for what the allies want and need.

Other people of color, with few exceptions, have proven they mostly want nothing to do with us besides using us as a stepping stone, but as long as "white man" don't like them, we think they are "allies". Sadly, the feeling isn't mutual and it has been proven time and time again.

I'm not invested at all but I could be.
My Grandfather worked on a ship and got off in NYC and never got back on. Some years later a younger brother he didn't even know he had did the same thing.
Now I wouldn't have as much of an issue as some if they swooped up and deported me back to Grenada, St Lucia or St Vincent where they came from because English is spoken in both places but I don't know anybody there.
I feel you. I have times where I feel exactly like this.
But then I be having yards to cut, sod to lay, mulch & pine straw to spread... so I go to the gas station & pick up some cheap laborers and get work done!
I eat better. I sleep better. I have more free time. And unless I pay any single individuals more than $600/yr I don't have to issue tax docs on them.
How are they our allies and what have they done for us?
I have yet to see any of these so called allies organization speaking up for us, like how black organizations are always at the forefront speaking up for them.
You know what's funny. Up until a certain time you were considered either black or white. Just like with integration...once the dynamics changed and black folk could shop on the other side of town.
Those who were once considered black took off....and now they are Latinos, Caribbean, etc...............not black.

You don't understand what an allie is. If they are fighting your adversary at the same time you are they are your allie... Allies simply increase numbers, reach and resources.
In WW2 Russia was an Allie of the US. As soon as Germany and Japan surrendered Patton wanted to invade Russia.
All it takes is to have a common enemy.
Obama didn't like Hillary and vice versa.....They became allies because they had a common adversary.

Let me break it down for you.
At one point my lawn care business was being undercut & underbid for work by other outfits that were probably illegal.
They used being illegal to their advantage.. they didn't have to worry about insurance, taxes, licensing, etc. So they could afford to do the same kind for far less.
Instead of getting angry I saw it as an opportunity to propel my business to another level that they couldn't get to.
Gov't contracts, county & city work, subdivisions, condos, apartments, etc. Work that required the kind of paperwork, insurance, tax docs, licensing that they couldn't attain... because they were illegal.
I'm not fighting for them, I'm just making a point on a porn board that them being here don't bother me. I benefit because...

Black folks in the 50's and 60's had shit in common regardless of their social and financial stature and even then there were some who wouldn't fight. But of those who did it was common to see a laborer and the lawyer because that lawyer was still black.....

Mao's tactics during the war allowed chiang's army to bear the brunt of the Japanese while he stayed behind assisting him but gaining power. Do you how it ended? Mao's red army had gained more strength by the end of the war to surpass shek's nationalist army and chased them out of China.
