You weren't crazy about having to work on Saturday evening, but you needed the extra money to catch up on some bills. The one bonus was that you would get to see Mahira Hassan, who worked IT (Information Technology).

What was interesting about Mahira was that she would sometimes ask you "off the wall" questions because she was curious and lead a very sheltered life prior to going to college and entering the work force.

In addition, she would share information with you and she felt that she learned a lot from you.

She wanted to know:
"What is the wildest thing you have ever done while you were at work?"

So you told her that maybe it was taking an extended lunch period, but always made sure that all your work was done first.

You looked at Mahira and asked her the same question and she replied:
"Nothing really, but one of the girls told me that one time her boyfriend came to meet her for lunch and she took him upstairs to an empty office and they had sex, but I can't tell you who it was."

You smiled and asked Mahira:
"Would you do something like that?"

She said:
"Hell yeah, if I had a boyfriend or even some body at work that wanted me."

You made a funny face and she looked at you and said:
"Oh, you're nasty"

A few minutes past and she asked you to come with her upstairs to get a soda from the vending machine because it creepy on that floor when there's no one working upstairs.

When you go upstairs you began to understand what Mahira meant about it being eerie and then as your walking with her she did the strangest thing.

Now, Mahira takes off and runs into the bathroom and you're thinking that maybe she saw someone or something (Yes, the building is haunted) so you follow her.

She tells you to hurry up and come inside.

From the first time you met Anika Roy you started teasing her and told her that she should be a Miss Universe contestant and after that have a Barbie doll modeled after her.

This would always bring a smile to her face and she would start blushing, but would often tell you that she truly appreciated your kind words.

Seeing her would brighten up your day also and you would run into her often considering that she worked the evening tour also, but was employed by a different agency.

About a week ago you notice a bit of a change in Anika's demeanor and she seemed somewhat distance. You felt funny prying into her personal life, but you thought you would ask if everything was alright?

She explained that her Aunty was in town visiting from Atlanta and although she loved her aunt they didn't see "eye to eye" on a variety of subjects and at times her aunt would openly disrespect her in front of the family. She expected her mother to come to her defense (even though Aunty is her mother's older sister), but mom would remain silent.

Basically, Anika just wanted to get away from her home while Aunty was going to be there.

It got to the point where Anika was thinking about just finding an empty office in the building to sleep in and use the bathroom in the morning to clean up.

You told her that if she wanted to and felt comfortable that she could "camp out" at your place for a few days until her Aunty left town.

"What of your wife or girlfriend?" and you explained that you had neither and that you had a spare bedroom.

She said that would be very kind of you and agreed.

When you got back to your apartment you put fresh linen on the bed and provided Anika with as much as you could to allow her to feel comfortable and told her that if she needed anything that you are in the room right next door.

About 20 minutes later Anika comes into your bedroom and wants to know if it's okay if she lays down with you since she really doesn't want to be alone with her thoughts at the moment.

You told her:
"Okay, but no 'fooling around' because I'm not the type of guy who just jumps into bed with a random female"

Anika stated:
"A. I am far from being a random female to you," and
"B. If you survive a night with me in your bed you will come to find that I don't 'fool around."
