Glad I came across this post. I've neglected checking my credit score for a long time, due to believing that I knew what was on there. I got on to Credit Karma today and found negative items from the bank that holds my mortgage. This prompted me to pull all three credit reports. My motherfucking bank reported months worth of late payments scattered over the four years that I've had my mortgage with them, amounting to tens of thousands of dollars past due. They dumped that crap on mine and my wife's reports at some point last year. Of course, whenever we have any discussions with the bank about our account, the account is in good standing on their side, as I would expect. Someone royally fucked up and has tanked mine and my wife's credit scores as a result. I'm now disputing all of that negative info with each credit bureau. I'll definitely be using credit karma regularly, especially once this negative info is cleared off my report and I get a clean start.
