Credit Karma Rolls Out Free Weekly Credit Reports (Yes Really)

U get one free credit report from each agency a year, so them giving us access to an updated report anytime we want is a fucking sweet deal, I'm sure shit ain't free and our data will be used for marketing data but it's worth it

Yeah, this is a good way to view your Transunion. Folks can use Quizzle to view their Equifax report for free if they used their free report for the year.

eh, it's nothing to write home about.

1. it's not a FICO score.
2. it's only TransUnion. if you have credit cards and inquiries that only affect Experian or Equifax, then this is really useless since all the activity is not on the TransUnion.

better than nothing I suppose.

the way i see it, it's really a half-measure for the biennial free FICO scores from myFICO.com

Glad I came across this post. I've neglected checking my credit score for a long time, due to believing that I knew what was on there. I got on to Credit Karma today and found negative items from the bank that holds my mortgage. This prompted me to pull all three credit reports. My motherfucking bank reported months worth of late payments scattered over the four years that I've had my mortgage with them, amounting to tens of thousands of dollars past due. They dumped that crap on mine and my wife's reports at some point last year. Of course, whenever we have any discussions with the bank about our account, the account is in good standing on their side, as I would expect. Someone royally fucked up and has tanked mine and my wife's credit scores as a result. I'm now disputing all of that negative info with each credit bureau. I'll definitely be using credit karma regularly, especially once this negative info is cleared off my report and I get a clean start.

Anyone ever used Lexington law firm or skyblue for credit repair. They say money money back garentee

My wife used Lexington Law in the past. She said they do all of the foot work, but it cost her $100/month. There were a few months that went by without anything being done, just waiting for responses. In the end, errors on her report were cleared up. However, you can technically do all of the work yourself for free, if you have the time and patience.

go into your mortgage lender with printed copies of the checks that prove payment was made on time. Tell them to remove the old negatives on the report.

Anerican expressed fucked up one time and reported some bullshit on my report tanking my score, they fixed the issue by the next month pushing my score back over 730

You can't get free scores from FICO can you? Only free reports.
