I am totally with Bill Cosby I believe he is a truly great american. When bill was being cast into roles during the 70's he did not have as much creative control the era of blaxploitation films and typecast roles were the only avenues given black actors at the time. I think well Bill became prominent enough he attempted to change these stereotypes with the Cosby show and a different world shows that depicted african americans in a more thoughtful and favorable light.

Anyone that would challenge Bill Cosby's earnestness in his campaign is very shortsighted. The fact that everyone is so uncomfortable is because he is hitting on the truth. The problems he is speaking about are real problems and need to be addressed yesterday. Our communities are in a self destructive out of control spiral and nothing good can come out of them if we dont shake shit up!!

Read the studies out read the accounts of prominent african americans we have a serious problem in this country and if it's not addressed we will be forced into the brink of extinction.

This dialogue we are having on this new information highway is the wave of the future. Globalization has changed the face of America and the world we are no longer competing with people in this country but and indian engineer in calcutta.

How can we compete to survive when the majority of us are dropping out of school and working backwards. The blue collar markets are no longer capable of sustaining us, illegal immigration has given employers a new pool of workers that will work far harder than any african american worker regardless of wage stabilization these immigrants are willing to work much harder than we are.

Mr. Dyson has been arund for quite a bit of time. I remember him from C-SPAN, PBS programs, and other forums talking with other Black intellectuals about the various issues in OUR community long before Bill Cosby decided to open his mouth.
