Cory Holcomb - "Dave Chappelle is overrated"

What’s the problem? That he was speaking his mind outside of the form of a joke? Dave’s jokes about Jon Benet were funny IMO but also cruel and a diss. So I hope you aren’t arguing joke vs diss as if they can’t be the same thing. Other than that, the only difference I see is the “someone we like” distinction.
This feels like one of those back and forths and quite frankly, you aint gonna change my mind so whats the point...he wasn't joking, he was dissing and I think he should give Martin a pass, you don't...it is what it is

Is it hypocritical of me to change the rules when it comes to Martin? probably (although your Dave Chappelle joke comparison is wrong)...still think Martin should have been given a pass

One of those back and forths where one person isn't understanding what the other is saying, perhaps. I had a simple five sentence post. The second one asked if the problem was Corey "speaking his mind outside of the form of a joke." Which means his statement was not a joke. It was commentary and he was dissing. We're not even disagreeing and you're on some "you ain't gonna change my mind" shit. :smh:

Care to explain why the Chappelle joke comparison was wrong? Not sure if you even know the set that I'm referring to but it was clearly a diss and certainly some people would say Jon Benet Ramsey should be given a pass. That was my point... Most of the best comedians cross lines and somebody is going to be offended (and say a certain topic should not be discussed or a certain person should be given a pass) at what they say at some point.
