i'm feeling this second coming series

gambit running through limbo as death

hope has scott's eyes as she gets angry or emotional  they never mentioned who her parents were did they?

still unsure what the plan is for pixie/illyana

if i was a gambling man i'd say scott is going to sacrifice himself at the end.. or that he will eventually die.. similar to ultimate xmen

So Cable's Hopes brother. Luckily they didn't get it on. Talk about mutant babies!

Anybody seen the latest issue of Chew? Can't find it anywhere on the interwebs.

I think she absorbs the powers of those she's in close viscinity too. Remember earlier when she fought Bishop, she used powers similar to Cable's

Yeah, that would explain her being able to help Rogue as a Baby...somewhat anyway. As for Cyclops, no do on the sacrafice, Marvel already has previews up of X-Men #1....In SanFran, and Cyke is there. But I am loving the Story..X-men are getting hot again, the Cosmic Books are FIRE...But Right Now I'm Loving The Punisher Max!!!!!

I don't grab too much anymore but much Love for the work and Dedication from the Dedicated...U Guys are the Shit

Jeez.

Jim Shooter's at DarkHorse now, huh?
With a Gold Key "re-launch" too?

:smh::smh::smh:

Hope Mike Richardson knows what he's doing.
Or got himself into.

why do people hate Jim Shooter so much? As far as I'm concerned, the man has an incredibly consistent record for putting out EXCELLENT comics. As far as I'm concerned, Solar: Man of the Atom (the Jim Shooter trade) is amongst my top 10 comics of all time that I read annually. The work that Shooter and company put down on early Valiant, Broadway, and even the later Warriors of Plasm stuff was great shit. His work on the early StarBrand stuff with Marvel was significantly better than the later John Byrne crap, and frankly, the best years of Marvel Comics were inarguably the Stan Lee, Jim Shooter, and Joe Quesada legacies.

It just seems so fashionable for a lot of creators to hate on the man, but the work and work ethic that the man demanded when he ran a company was second to none. Shit came out on time. Story structure was rock solid. Characterization was KING during the shooter era. There was editorial consistency at Marvel and continuity and consistent pseudo-science mattered.

I was being a bit sarcastic.
And I know Shooter has mellowed over the years.

But it's a fact that he pissed off a lot of folks at MARVEL during his reign.
That's why many of them went across town to DC during the early 80s.
And a lot of those folks still haven't forgiven him.

Be that as it may,

Dude is still a PURE Comics guy.
He practically grew up in the industry.
And his passion and stature can't be denied.

I met him at a convention in the late 70s when I was in my teens.
He was a really nice guy.

And to me,
The Roy Thomas years were the BEST at MARVEL.
But I guess I'm showing my age.

I have to agree. He is one of the few in the industry that put continuity and storyline over shock and awe.

He was hated in Marvel because he would make cats rewrite if it was out of continuity.

Sounds like they need him back at Marvel NOW.

He does get a raw deal but if not for his iron fist many of us wouldn't be comic fans today.

I have an old issue of Hero Illustrated where they broke down how Jim Shooter was in Marvel.

He pissed off a few ppl when Spider-Man was being used in 3 different books and that month he took an injury in Amazing Spider-Man so he wanted all the writers to incorporate the injury...They got tight...re-wrote using other characters from Marvel most of which were b characters and 2 months later they went to work for DC over it because he was always on that 'continuity shit.' :smh:

Years later he made Valiant which had the TIGHTEST continuity in comics to this very day.

Say what you want about why they are still not around but I paid for my first semester of college and travel expenses to 3 different locations (2 in the US and 1 outside of the US) off of the Valiant money I made when that shit was going crazy. Books that I bought for $2.75 were selling for $75 2 weeks later...:smh:

Nah. The one that sold really well was the black cover Solar.

The 90's was retarded though with prices. I remember when 'Death Of Superman' was going for $100 on the streets of Fordham road...Now that shit is .25 cents.

I sold a lot of comics for retarded prices back then because the market was pure collector. :smh:
