BOOSTER GOLD #6

“52 Pick-Up” concludes as Booster Gold journeys back in time to save the best friend he ever had - the Blue Beetle! But can Booster stop Maxwell Lord before someone else dies in Ted Kord’s place? And will Ted Kord let that happen?
:smh:Every time this fool try to change things in the past it never works.... man I would give up after he could not save batgirl from the joker:smh:

Joker was beatin that ass...

Thats exactly why John Byrne is my fav artist. His backgrounds and characters looked real. He would always have the X-Men out uniform if they were just hanging around the masion.
That made the story more real.
Same thing when he did the Fantastic Four.

Okay, not that anyone cares anymore because what's done is done, but I think I know why they did what they did to Spider-Man and I'm not sure it was mentioned. The WB is working on a new Spider-Man animated series, and if you know one thing about animated series, is that they do similar things in the comic books to draw back readers.

Case in point, when the Teen Titans cartoon came out, all of a sudden the original Teen Titans were back together again in the comics. When the original Justice League (before unlimited) animated series came out, all of a sudden John Stewart was back on JLA. They even came out with JLA Classified which featured a similar team as the cartoon. Even the Spider-Man 3 movie coincided with the return of Spider-Man's black costume in the comics.

So I'm saying all of this to say that they did this to not only coincide with the animated series coming out soon, but to be close to the movies to draw in readership. But in the meantime, they pretty much said "fuck the regulars"...I mean, we've all seen some outlandish shit up in these comics, but this has to be one of the most stupidest things they've done. I'm old enough to actually OWN the issue where Peter and Mary Jane get married and to have the last 20 years wiped out like that is stupid.

I wonder if Peter and Mary Jane get married in Spider-Man 4 if they work that back into the comic some kind of way? All of a sudden, everything rushes back to him and Aunt May ends up dead? That's the only way they can get back the regulars, but we're not where the money is at, the money is with the new readers.

Enough of my rant, as always, thanks Linker and everyone for all of the hookups making this the best post ever on BGOL. But like someone else says, the nekkid bitches help a lot too... ;)

for everyone who enjoys this thread:

keep this site under wraps. some strange shit went down at the site where most of these links came from. supposedly there was some legal shit from u no hoo.

if Link can keep 'em coming (i don't know how, i can't find the thread anynore, maybe he has inside knowledge) we need to be REAL cool about it.

May need to move it off of the main board...and then start instituting LP protocols.

yeah!

i'm glad you can get in there, maybe i don't have a high enough post count, but it locked me out of the thread.

post count needed is a thousand. different names on different forums because search engine might track you down....zero day here and there are exactly the same except for the old compilation titles by the road runner...

they were freaking out because there was around 15 members and 80 guests...lol and a lot of requests came from newbies requesting huge number of titles. you want your site to be famous but not that famous. Too bad we don't know how many are online here.

Linker, do you think moving it to the back up board and LP'ing all future drops will help with some of these issues?

common safeguards on other forums (aside from moving the server to another country) are the necessity for registration so that no one could just browse in here as guest and avoiding the all mighty GOOGLE and YAHOO search engines. KL was just too big at too short a time with members posting links at various forums advertising the site. I don't know if moving the thread to another part of the site will help. Won't hurt to try, i guess.
