kind of depends.
I really liked the colossus portion of Nation X
from growing up in the soviet union, his brother dying in the war, him promising to take care of Ilyana, his turning into colossus to save Ilyana from a runaway tractor, the love angle with Kitty Pride, losing his sister to the dark realms, dying etc. all great emotional stories..
most strong guys are described as funny, charismatic, taking pleasure in bashing things..
but Colossus? outside of a direct story line revolving him, he has as much personality as Guido from X-Factor..
it's all perception of character.. I also like the angle they took on Bobby Drake in Nation X as well, that's an angle that most readers don't see of Iceman..
They even fucked Colossus up in the ultimate universe

at first I was like "oh shit, Colossus is some bad ass drug dealer or arms dealer who thinks of himself, nice character switch for him.. oh shit. . guns.. colossus going to whoop yall asses.. alright .. wait.. why is he checking out dudes? aw fuck.. they ruined him again"
it's like the colossus life story keeps being passed on to the interns
