There are some parts of the film that I WISHED was some "Alex Jones type shit" that way it can/would be easily dismissible.
This dude is spittin' that actual factual.

I'm about halfway thru the movie and I'm waiting for something new. The part about derivatives and pyramid scheme economics - infinite growth etc is interesting because I posed the continued growth and stagnation in light of finite resources question in my first college economics course and got a weird non-answer from the professor- he just stood there and was like" i dunno" which kinda bugged me out
dude is telling the truth though - ive seen top energy scientists on cspan talking about how worthless ethanol is - ethanol is a payday for corn farmers/agra business

everything he is saying is 100% true in regard to economics and politics - can't say whether the military suicides and attempts on his life are real though but I wouldnt doubt it
alot of people on this board already know everything he is talking about - check the political board and some threads on the main forum dealing with economics and you will see people mention peak oil, credit default swaps, derivatives etc

What are you backing this statement up with? Anybody can check out Mike Ruppert's previous lecture and the sources he states. This documentary just an overview of detail info he's lecture extensively on before. They are pretty much all on Youtube, so check them out when you have time. Pay attention to the dates of his lecture and see what he predicted. The shit is just crazy. Sad thing about it is I don't think he's really making any money from this film release. It was just a guy that wanted to interview him.

More than likely Japan would be alright. Its call adapting and overcoming. I would expect Japan to be one of the groundbreakers in using green technology and electric power for everyday life/transportation.
Whatever country finds a way to become atleast 70% oil independent will be the groundbreaker.

Brazil runs most of it transportation on enthanol(at least 85%)I believe and this have found oil off the coast, so they'll be good on ethanol until they can convert to more green technology. To honest South America is probably the most resource rich continent outside of Africa and I think in general they will be OK.

As much as he's studied the population throughout his years, I don't believe he has a lot faith in our ability to adapt to a monumental disaster.
He sort of stumbles on that question, couples together some quick business about our resources and moves on. Like he doesn't put too much stock in "human ingenuity."
He wants to be right and for us all to learn a lesson. I sensed that.
I also believe that a lot of conspiracy theorists are personally not in a good space, and want to see the world fail within their lifetimes.
Which is why I have to look at the author and his or her current situation in life.
He drops some good knowledge about the blindness and BS going on throughout the globe but I don't believe the "collapse" is as certain nor near as he claims.
But I'm an optimist to a certain degree.
