Coach Killer: Miami Heat Minority Owner Says LeBron James Wanted Erik Spoelstra Fired

Lebron earned the right to influence decisions but that doesn't mean he is good at it

He is just a great player so that masks all the other shit
This quote actually ends this Thread and unfortunately this type of shit will be talked about as much as his accomplishments. LeBron is one of the greatest players who ever stepped foot in the court, and one of the smartest too. Losing finals record notwithstanding.

I think the move to get Love was the obvious one where you could see it happening before it happened. We knew what was coming when he made his initial statement and acknowledged everyone on the team besides the recently drafted Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins wasn't there because Lebron didn't want him there. Love is there because that's the guy he wanted. I've always thought Love was overrated and he's clearly one of the worst defenders of all time. I just felt that was only going to make Lebron work harder on the defensive end..which was one of the reasons he wanted out of Miami.

Lebron is a basketball savant.... but sometimes shit can be clear as day to people who are on the outside looking in.

I actually hate that he's losing prime years with guys like Love... like i wouldn't be shocked if Love got hurt again and missed the playoff run like last season. On the surface, love looks like a replacement for Bosh and Lebron probably thought he would replace his scoring + give them more rebounding... but I don't think most people (even savants like Lebron) really understood how bad of a defender that guy is.

I'm not knocking Lebron. He's not done anything wrong. I just wish that 1) he had a better coach and gm around 2) he could trust those guys and focus on playing.

Think of how lucky both the Spurs and Duncan have been...or Brady and BB..... wish dude had that type of environment so he could just play ball.

I completely agree with this.

What you are saying about coaching and GMing is my whole point in a nutshell.

The Love thing? I will be honest, I haven't really followed him much. However when I see him play, I know for sure that he would get no playing time or a contract here in Miami.

That game I saw with the Dubs that Love played was like he flunked the James Harden school of defense.

This cat said "I have a huge basketball IQ"
But couldn't figure out how to score on JJ Barea :hmm:
If you think it was JJ and not a tight zone that featured two 7 footers packing the paint vs a team that lacked the proper outside shooting to get them out of the zone, then your a certified flat earther to the bone..

A huge basketball IQ would have figured that out tho don't you think? Especially with two other first ballot HOF'ers on the same team

We know why he couldn't score on JJ bitch ass Bearea.. Simple he ain't know how to play with his back to the basket..

Look if you are the greatest running back in the history of the sport and you are playing on a team that has no passing game, no qb and no wr's vs a big team that is designed to stop the run, by stacking the box, look I don't care how smart you think you are, none of that shit will work, don't believe me ask Barry Sanders..
Well this is essentially what happened with the CAvs when they played the Mavs, remember they were whipping the Mavs ass until they started playing the zone..
But to the Heat credit they went out and got some sharp shooters and that zone bullshit became history...
This is why I always say that a LeBron James led team will only go as far as his outside shooters allows him...

Why would the pg Bearea be guarding the forward on the other team in the paint when they are playing the zone?

Dude Dallas exposed that aspect of his game... They knew he didnt have a post up game.. Trust if he had it Dallas would not have gone to a zone defense

By playing a zone and packing the paint... Even if he were to try to post up he would be sadwished between two 7 footers, plus the rest of the team would collaps on him.. The book move would be to pass it to the wing and have them open things up, but if they miss the Heat would be fucked because now you have the whole Dallas team in the paint waiting for the rebound...
This is why they knew it would be impossible to win with out outside shooters and the following year they go Ray Allen...

Dude you're trying too hard common two different sports two different scenarios. While I can understand again maybe 2, a versatile player with a huge IQ would have figured out a way to adjust find holes in with the other team was doing and still figure out a way to contribute and possibly win. The way he was shut down and fourth quarters in that series was pathetic, no matter how many please you have to be shut down an entire series was pathetic. He was as big or possibly the biggest reason why they lost that series because he gave them nothing.
