Clint Eastwood is hitting back with Magnum Force at GOP critics contending his Super Bowl commercial was a nod to President Obama.

"I am certainly not politically affiliated with Mr. Obama," the legendary actor and director told Fox News on Monday night.

"It was meant to be a message about job growth and the spirit of America," Eastwood added.

Eastwood narrates the two-minute Chrysler ad, in which he declares, "It's halftime in America." He then praised Detroit's auto industry's revival and said it was a model for a nation that's bound for a comeback.

Gleeful Democrats were quick to argue the actor was suggesting Obama — who spearheaded Motown's auto bailout by the federal government — was only halfway through his tenure as commander-in-chief and had more to accomplish.

Meanwhile, GOPers — most notably George W. Bush adviser Karl Rove — criticized the ad. Rove went as far as saying it "offended" him.

"The President of the United States and his political minions are, in essence, using our tax dollars to buy corporate advertising and the best wishes of the management," Rove declared.

Eastwood has long been known for his conservative views and has previously said he has never voted Democrat except for Gray Davis when he was elected as California's governor in 1998.

In November, he told the Los Angeles Times he wasn't impressed with Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, but said he "loved" then-candidate Herman Cain's story.

The "Gran Torino" star insisted during Monday's interview that he's not supporting any politician at this time, but added if Obama or any other lawmaker wants "to run with the spirit of that ad, go for it."
