From what I heard, Coach Johnson tried vehemently to trade NoHEARTski last off season, thinking his value was at it's peak with Dirk just winning the MVP award but Mark Cuban nixed the idea.

They made a mistake trading for Jason Kidd, in my opinion, but they are still a capable team. However, like the lakers, they need to trade their euro chuking wing player for better talent, if they want to be true contenders.

Come on X. This is abour Chris. We all know you hate Kobe. But, i think the mavs were better off with Devin Harris. I'd rather have an young Harris trying to defend Chris, than an old Kidd. At least Devin would have been able to take it to him on the other end of the floor.

Well, he did bring up players with no heart so I wasn't totally off topic with my rant

I think the Mavericks are better with Kidd as Harris is not a true PG and nowhere near the caliber player as Kidd. What I didn't like about the trade was how they gave up Hassell and Diop, who were their best perimeter and post defenders and as you can see, that is the area that is hurting them most.

We all know what needs to be done. This ain't about Kidd. You could have Walt Frazier, Don Chaney, TR Dunn, Dennis Johnson or K.C. Jones guarding Chris Paul. If there isn't a decent big man in the paint to KNOCK THAT SHOT BACK in his face every once in a while, then either the PG is going to have his way, or the poor guy guarding him is going to be too worn out to run his own teams' offense.

Tall order for any PG, much less a 35 year old one who is also counted on to get rebounds.
