Given Chris Brown's history prior to Rihanna, the domestic violence and his resurgance as a pop star.
What are your feelings, of how we can forgive, those who have done another woman harm...?

Ask for forgiveness and move on, base your life on renewed acts of kindness and humility...

Because of my work w/ domestic violence victims....I say forgive him. Anyone can change, IF they choose to. But, I do suggest that he continues counseling and that she gets some.
PLEASE notice that I said FORGIVE him-I did not say FORGET!

I believe what he did was bad, but i also believe he got the short end of the stick big time. I feel that people have judged him mad unfairly. He has served his punishment. He's gotten jobbed and lost out on alot of money.

I say leave that boy alone now.

I forgive the dude. Until his acts are deemed contrived, as long as he is seriously sorry he can be forgiven.

Thing is unless dude just got some medical mental problem ain't nothing in this world gonna make him hit a chick like that unless she had a bee on her face. Yeah no singing island skinny chick with big feet got beat up by her boyfriend. Sorry that happened. But I get the feeling he might have been provoked.

(hate me if you wanna but I don't think I'd be saying this about someone else...something about this whole thing just never sat right with me)

From people i know who know them i've been heard she was a hell cat. And no even provoked he shouldn't but i just hate when people act like he was some kind of monster. Like he should be crucified or some nonsense. He's a dumb boy, she was a dumb girl. They did something dumb together. And then everyone piled on him while she played the helpless victim.

Good answers.

Huh?????

Read the court affadavit, whose facts Brown NEVER disputed. Brown's assault was even WORSE than reported in the media, and he WASN'T "provoked" in the least. It was a brutally savage attack and basically attempted murder. He's lucky he's walking the streets, nevermind enjoying a successful career resurgance. It's tragic that he has so many supporters making up excuses for him and blaming the victim who was found unconscious at the scene (having been left for dead by that poor, mistreated "man"). No wonder domestic abuse (and domestic murder) is so much more prominant in the black community than anywhere else. Pathetic. :smh:

I don't see why they would. In fact, this reported temper tantrum validates Onyx's post. He should continue counseling or seek it if he isn't getting it.
And get new handlers that can teach him how to handle questioning about the Rihanna situation. How could he not think this was going to come up?

I have never condoned domestic violence except with one major exception. That exception is if a woman has something that might be used as a weapon. (an then to use only enough force to protect oneself) Aside from that no woman deserves to be beaten.

The beating Rihanna took from Brown was inexcusable. No reason IMO justified that type of response regardless of what she said or had done. The bigger man puts her behind him and walks away.

Yeah maybe he soothed his ego but since then its been his own public relations nightmare. Constantly having to issue apologies. So the question is was his response worth it?

agreed, but I have a daughter and nieces and sisters so I have a biased he would be beat into a coma perspective.

I completely understand. If I was Rihanna's brother or father, me and Chris would still be fighting. But I'm not and I'm not a fan of either's work so I haven't put too much energy in it.

Now Nas and Kelis broke my heart.:D

That man just wanted to talk about his ALBUM, so I understand. Dude trying to promote his music he can't be sitting there talking about "I regret hitting that chick" dont even get a chance to sing.

This some bullshit.

Yes he can. He has to know that's going to come up and should be prepared for it. He has to keep saying "I regret doing that" until they stop asking and eventually they will because it won't be news or new. This is his first big venture since that incident so it's still fresh. Brown has poor handlers.

I don't get how people feel like it should or would not have been brought up. It was a brutal attack only two years ago and the fact of the matter is she didn't ask about the attack, she asked about the restraing order that was just lifted.
I've said it before, but until he does something to overshadow that act he will continue to be questioned about that situation.
These tv shows don't owe him anything, you want to use this national vehicle to promote your album then you answer my questions if not , f you and your album!

I think Chris is a great talent, but he's going to end up behind bars or in the ground if he doesn't grow up.

Yep... plus, Robin Roberts said she told him prior to the interview that she was gonna ask about that, so I'm not sure why he was so surprised by it.

I'm a big believer in accountability... whether it's Chris Brown, Tiger Woods, Michael Vick, T.I. or whoever. They put THEMSELVES in those situations, so they gotta deal with the consequences... whatever they may be.

This is exactly what I was saying. He needs to be held accountable for his actions. He's not a child he knew when he first hit her he was doing wrong.

Going forward he needs to stipulate conditions for his future interviews. Let it be known up front that incident is not open for discussion. His actions with Robin Roberts was another PR setback.

The press has been active in character assassinations for years especially with black celebrities. But if Roberts did inform him of the questions to be asked prior the interview then he's an idiot for responding the way he did. This was not the fault of the press.

I am not hating on Chris B, but he some serious issues he has to deal with.

Rihanna is some where shaking her head, saying I told you so..:smh::smh:

Now I am not condoning what he did, but at what point does he have to stop saying that, (assuming he does no interviews), and everything becomes professional again and not personal?

And I agree with the bolded.

What would that be? His case is so...double edged the boy can't do right for rights sake and he can't do wrong for rights sake.

Woah, woah. He knew about the questions? Oh well then Chris just a dummy. I believe in giving a person the benefit of the doubt, (dude just wanna focus on music? fine), but don't exaggerate if you know. There's a fine line between playing dumb to get your way and playing stupid to look like a moron.

Going forward he needs to stipulate conditions for his future interviews. Let it be known up front that incident is not open for discussion. His actions with Robin Roberts was another PR setback.

This, I also have never doubted.

I can respect a person for wanting to move forward regardless of how famous they might be. But in light of this new evidence :smh:.

Just caught some new info on this and it's not cut and dry that Brown broke that window. Elizabeth Hasselbeck on "The View", who worked GMA that morning said he seemed to be in good spirits after the interview and that he was mingling with people and signing autographs for kids backstage. Plus he had an entourage of people with him and there isn't anyone who says they saw him specifically break the window.
The fact that he knew the question was going to be asked also makes it harder for me to see him getting that mad. Roberts didn't ambush him and he's declined other interviews (like The View) when they told him that they would discuss the Rihanna incident. Even his "apology" seems a little vague.
So I'll reserve judgement on Chris Brown. This might be a big nothing made into something.

ok fam, if you accept that then what about HIS tweet right after the incident, HIS apology on BET and HIS PUBLICIST quitting immediately after GMA? that's A LOT of coincidence.....:hmm:

Daaaaaaaaaaaaayum

But come on babe this is SOL...Chill out a little ok;)

I had to reread my own post. I missed where I used the word "coincidence". I also missed where I said he didn't break the window. I said I reserve judgement just as I did when Mike Vick was at a party where one of his former cohort was also in attendance. What I said was there was conflicting information available on this incident and Brown's demeanor. Him having a temper tantrum, while immature and unseemly, doesn't equate to Brown being a raging maniac who's learned nothing from his attack on Rihanna.
The fact that he immediately went on an apology tour is a good thing and maybe he and that publicist should have parted ways sooner.

TIME TO FORGET & MOVE ON.... SHE OBVIOULY DID SOMETHING TO GET HER ASS BEAT....... SO...... TIME TO KEEP IT PUSHIN..... WE ONLY KNOW HER SIDE OF THE STORY...... SHE DID SOMETHING...... FUCK THAT......I DONT FEEL SORRY FOR HER NOR DO I FAULT HIM....:smh::smh:

I am no one's judge.

Chris Brown has plenty of sense, he more than likely did what he did because he thought it was justified & deserving.

I don't know all the details, but I do recall that while all this was still fresh in the news, Rihanna didn't share her side of the story at all! To me, That says enough of the situation... Why not speak on it unless you, too, have something to lose?
