Chip Kelly is the new 49ers head coach

How do the 49ers get rid of Harbaugh, and replace him (a coach in between) with Kelly?
Harbaugh is the fakest victim ever period.
Harbaugh didn't like the owner and he refused to replace greg roman when it clearly wasn't working with them both at the same time. So what do you do? You keep the coach and the offensive coordinator he's loyal to and watch the shit go in the tank cause that's where it was headed.
He escaped without any blame at all for his role in everything that happened. He even gets credit for building the team when he actually walked into it lol.

true

funny how the whole thought process behind the Rooney Rule was to have Black applicants interview so the owners and GMs would be comfortable and used to them...

Remind me...How long Chip been coaching in the NFL to get 2 head coaching positions?

I think conventional wisdom is that most NFL HC don't do well their first job. I don't like Kelly either but you never know. The NFL of all the leagues has a history of reclamation projects that made it big.

To be fair to the 49ers we wanted Hue jackson to be our coach but he got more personnel control and the #2 pick in the draft with the browns.

That would've been 2 out of the last 4 coaches for us being black.

At this point throughout the entire process all I've said and maintained is that I want to keep Kap. Whoever is most likely to keep Kap that's who I want.

I still don't like Chip or what he did or how he treated the black players when he had the juice so I'm not going to act brand new like yes indeed he's going to be a changed man

HOWEVER

if this means we keep Kap and let him do his thing leading us then I am perfectly fine with that.
The one thing we do know is that Chip can coach his ass off. What we did find out is that he is terrible as a GM.

He will win games to the tune of 11 and 12 wins.

They are in a great position to get one of the highly rated QB prospects. You gotta believe it's more likel Kap is gone than he stays at this point.
I doubt they get rid of Kap now. He is a really good fit for Chips offense

San Francisco 49ers hire Chip Kelly as head coach

Chip Kelly will be an NFL coach in 2016.

The San Francisco 49ers announced they hired Kelly as the team's 20th coach in franchise history on Thursday. He will be formally introduced as the team's new head coach during a news conference next week, the team said.

http://www.nfl.com/videos/san-francisco-49ers/0ap3000000622489/49ers-name-Chip-Kelly-head-coach

After two 10-win seasons in Philadelphia, it all came crashing down on Kelly in 2015 after he wrestled personnel control away from the front office. Several of his headline-making moves backfired, including shipping LeSean McCoy out of town and signing DeMarco Murray.

In San Francisco, Kelly will not have personnel control, with general manager Trent Baalke entrenched. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport said on NFL Network on Thursday that not having control is OK with Kelly, adding that the coach "learned his lesson with the Eagles" and is going to focus on coaching.

The Niners had also interviewed former Giants coach Tom Coughlin, former Broncos and Redskinscoach Mike Shanahan and new Browns coach Hue Jackson.

One of the reverberating stories from Philadelphia this season was that Kelly rubbed many people the wrong way and lost his locker room as the defeats mounted. In San Francisco, he'll have a second chance to correct those flaws.

The immediate question with Kelly taking over is the future of quarterbackColin Kaepernick. The 49ers appeared destined to part with the struggling signal-caller after this season, but perhaps Kelly could convince the organization he can rebuild the athletic quarterback and allow him to thrive in a fast-paced offense. In fact, Kelly reportedly considered trading for Kaepernick while with the Eagles.

The team also liked what it saw from Blaine Gabbert in his eight starts this season -- throwing for 2,031 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. During his time in Philadelphia, Kelly worked with the likes of Nick Foles, Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez. Gabbert and/or Kaepernick wouldn't exactly be a downgrade on that group.

After pushing Jim Harbaugh out the door, seeing talent flood out of the Bay Area and firing Jim Tomsula after one season, Baalke and 49ers CEO Jed York are banking on Kelly returning to the quick success he had to start his career in Philadelphia.

Word is he's gonna try to lure Bradford there and he's not real high on Kap. Basically he liked the chemistry they were building which is why Bradford spoke up when he was fired.

Might be a good hire as long as they don't let him be in charge of personnel

Kap will get another chance now

I'm happy for him

He won't be in charge of personnel. No way will he be in charge of it at this point. He can coach he is a horrible judge of talent.
Like i said all this depdnds on his plans with Kap.
for 2 or 3 years all ive gotten is emails and posts on here saying kap is going to philly he's almost been traded to philly to be with chip kelly

now kap has chip kelly let's see what they do.

this might also mean the team didn't listen to the idiots out there saying we need to move on from a proven young quarterback to draft an unproven crap shoot after 1 season behind a horrible line and a horrible coach.

Could be better, could be worse.
But as it's been said before, it's way too soon to give up on Kaep.

Yes now the word is he wants bradford when the word while he was in philly is that he is trying to trade for kap.
makes perfect sense
That was before he developed his relationship with Bradford and there was never any serious interest in Kap due to cap constraints. That was the media talking about how great a fit he would be in Philly at the time. All in saying is don't be surprised if Kap gets RG3'd and Bradford is sitting at the press conference with Chip. Not a prediction. Just don't be surprised.

Why y'all think he wants kaep?

He will trade him

He wil pull a jon gruden

"Yea ill come and fix kaep don't worry I got this"

Then he benches him for somebody else

It's simple for me. all i hear from everybody for the past 2 years is kap is going to be with chip in philly.

now suddenly kap ain't gonna be with chip on the 49ers?

if that happens i won't be fucking with it period so there it is.

kap is so called the prototype to making his offense work in the nfl and if he passes on that to try some dumb shit then they deserve everything they're going to get.

1st no it wasn't it was all during this season and it didn't stop until chip was fired
2nd Baalke saw bradford 1st hand had plenty of opportunities to get bradford even before chip did.
next you don't get rid of a qb who has proven he can go the distance with some decent coaching and some decent talent around him

this move kinda says that to me. it kinda says that we're not listening to the media about kap we're going to bring in the best guy who can get the most out of a guy who is our franchise qb

i could very well be wrong but we shall see.

They should have learned from Philly. Chip will come in all meek, win a couple of games and take over. Have them dancing in the streets, get ownership by the balls and fuck shit up.

He doesn't have Personnel power though. Baalke has final say. I think he has hat in hand at this point and is just happy to be a head coach.

Am I excited? No. I wanted hue or even Shanahan

Am I Ok if it means we keep Kap because I care about Kap more than I care about the coach at this point? Yes.

I feel you on all of this. He won't have total say over personnel, but best believe he's going to decide who's in the lineup. I think it's going to wind up working out with Kaep, but I wouldn't book it yet. Chip Kelly's mind is a strange and vast wasteland.

.

This right here times a hundred. Always pisses me off when I'd hear other fan bases talk about him like if he was hired you were guaranteed to be in the Super Bowl because "hey, look what he did in San Fran -- they were like 4-12 the year before he got there with the same talent"?

Then you get nothing but crickets when you ask the question "If Harbaugh had been hired in 2005 instead of Nolan, do you think they would have been in the NFC Championship game in '06?" Shit, it was Nolan and Singletary who took the lumps seasoning all that talent.

Dude I live in Philly and all the Kap shit was during the 4 game losing streak and nobody said shit since. Chip never even wanted to discuss it and denied that shit and came out and said he wouldn't trade Bradford for Kap and that Bradford is his guy. All in saying is don't be surprised.

nah that ain't happening here fam. Baalke is not the one. and the ownership is not the one. it might all blow up before we see chip kelly with absolute power on the 49ers him and the gm will be gone long before that scenario happens.

Chip did sign up for a tough division..

In related news..Tom Coughlin pulled his name from the Eagles coaching search.

Sinngletary gets all the credit in the world from me. He is not a good x's and o's coach and he didn't do a good job getting coordinators to handle the x's and o's for him but he was damn sure a good coach connecting with the players and getting them to be a team.

he got rid of the diva aspect off of the team completely and harbaugh walked into a locker room that was already a brotherhood and ready to buy in.
