i make & edit videos... & I usually have more than 10 windows open sometimes 2 different browsers + the programs Im using. Im tired of the freezing & I want to future-proof my shit as much as I can.

On the M2 macbook pros 24 gigs will handle any 4k project you throw at it. 32 is nice though if you can afford it.

You can't add more, so if you think you'll have it long enough that you'll need the memory, go ahead and buy it now. Don't be pennywise but pound foolish.
 
Don't know much about the apple chips, but for Intel and amd, it's better to get pairs of same size and speed of memory because of how CPU processes memory I.e. 2*8,2*16,2*32 . So 24GB seems weird to me. There are no 12GB as far as I know.


Edit I see apple makes the memory part of the motherboard. So what I typed above doesn't apply lol.
