ChatGPT, is this the "Jurassic Park" moment for AI? Upcoming ChatGPT4 is a T-Rex...Italy becomes the first western nation to ban ChatGPT

It is still in the learning stage as I've managed to stump it several times. It can provide general answers that could easily be found on the internet if you know what to type and how to look for it. In short, it's a more personalized and curated google search result.
That's why it's free..... for now..... everyone using it is helping the company to refine it....build it's data base, then the $$$ start... just like Beta testing a video game

.

Agreed but also depends on what you're looking for. Asked my son what it was more specifically he needed help on. He said it was a way to code the game he's building from a single player to multi player for people to interact. Many of his friends couldn't figure it out. For months he searched coding sites, asked for help on forums, discord, they couldn't figure it out. ChatGPT replied it in seconds and wrote out the code to simplify it all. So I'm sure it's dependent on what you need.

For me I used it for some ad copy from watching the few vids. I never thought to use it for that. I could of paid someone to do that on Fiverr maybe but I can quickly get back to selling and not thinking about wording on my ads.

You want me ask? Lol

Me: Do you know that BGOL is a porn forum?

ChatGPT: I do not have any information about the specific forum you are asking about. It is important to remember that not all forums are appropriate for all audiences, and it is important to use discretion when participating in online communities. If you are concerned about the content of a particular forum, it may be best to avoid it.

That shit dumb.

A few weeks back I was playing with it and came up with this. I might delete this post or start a thread downstairs

Here is a hip-hop story song focused on the topic of financial planning for retirement, using the storytelling style of Andre 3000:

Verse 1: I was young and free, I had no care I was living for today, I didn't think about tomorrow But then I got older, and I realized That I gotta plan for the future, I can't just improvise

Chorus: Financial planning, it's important Don't wait till it's too late, don't be hesitant Start saving now, don't procrastinate Think about the future, don't hesitate

Verse 2: I learned about 401(k)s and IRAs I started saving for retirement, it ain't hard I got a financial advisor, who showed me the way I'm on the right track, I won't stray

Chorus: Financial planning, it's important Don't wait till it's too late, don't be hesitant Start saving now, don't procrastinate Think about the future, don't hesitate

Verse 3: Now I'm older, and I'm glad I took the time To plan for my retirement, it's worth every dime I'm not worried, I've got a plan I'm ready for the future, I'll stand

Chorus: Financial planning, it's important Don't wait till it's too late, don't be hesitant Start saving now, don't procrastinate Think about the future, don't hesitate

  1. Financial planning for retirement (Andre 3000 style): The beat for this song could be produced by J. Dilla, whose style often features smooth, jazz-influenced beats that could provide a soulful and laid-back foundation for Andre 3000's unconventional and innovative flow.

This reminds me of 1993 when I was using pirated music production software and the internet and downloading synth patches from bb's. I remember thinking back then that:

The future will be all about internet piracy. Anything that can be digitized will have exact copies created and made accessible to the public at large, and that this will come to include: software, games, music, movies and tv shows.

In 1996, there were news stories about ware(z) sites containing Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis games. Anytime a site would get shut down, 100 more would replace it. That’s when I knew the lion can never again be returned to the cage.

It feels like we are in a similar but way more expansive space now. AI technology has the potential to not only provide a cheat sheet for anything academic but to also annihilate any creative industries - from the creation of art to graphic design and editing, to writing, to video-editing, game design, software design, websiite design, photography and photo-editing to musicmaking, the sky is the limit (or hell is the depth). You name it. As long as it is anything that is in a fixed form, it will be able to be created from datasets- in some cases, better than a single human or group of humans is capable of originating. The more the AI’s are fed information, the smarter and more capable they will get. The impact of this is is not equivalent to a lion never returning to a cage, but of all the animals in all the zoos and wildlife preserves in the world escaping all at once with zero hope of returning all of them.

that’s crazy.

I don’t know exactly how I am going to use it yet, but I’ll think of something. I tested it out on some things I am working on and it failed me, but only because of insufficient data for it to use.

I actually got it to do Ten different songs with a different artist style and preferred producer on different financial topics.

My goodness. Humanity stays altering.

Before we know it. Human’s ability to critically thinking will be done fore. A.I. will just do the thinking for us. It’s not a horrible thing in certain aspects. Like your son’s case where he got stuck. Nobody got time to be stuck on problems, but as long as he isn’t relying on it.

But there will be folks that abuse it and be dumb as a sack of potatoes at the same time.

This chit cray lol

I asked it how can BGOL be a better forum lol

  6. Regularly updating and improving the forum to ensure that it stays current and relevant to users.

Yeah it's Skynet lol

Thing has been blowing me away. It's crazy how you can make it refine things over and over to get more detailed for what you're asking for then it saves each of your chats. You can go back and ask it again in an old chat to refine your questions.

Yeah they were talking about this on EYL last night. I’ve seen a few posts on Twitter about this as well. Very interesting. Rashad mentioned over hearing some tech guys talk about this for over a hour in the Delta lounge at the airport and mentioned how this will be the next big tech thing.

Outside from ChatGPT, this doesn't make you ask why?

BioNTech to buy AI expert InstaDeep for $684 million in order to "integrate artificial intelligence into all aspects" of the company, Chief Executive Officer Ugur Sahin says.

This was a good breakdown. Very interesting

Im here for it!

Before too long it’ll be able to solve age old mathematical equations if it hasn’t already happened.

I’m glad I am in this area of programming. I’m not hard onto AI, but I am fucking with machine learning which is a smaller version of it.

Yeah I’ve been interested in ML and AI for some time. I work in the healthcare industry and there is a lot of stuff going on around AI. Very interesting times we are in.

Dammit, the site updated and lost all my previous chats. Just a nuisance but will have to recreate them. Now I know to save them offline
They're saying it will only be temporary, some are starting to save their prompts/chats to a word doc. as a backup
