Chad Johnson angers judge, gets jail time

What I dont understand is that he never told his side of the story,he allowed his ex-wife go around in the media shitting on him,while he kept quiet.....Never understood that at all,because we dont know his side of the story....:confused::confused::confused:

I agree,that he was stupid as fuck marrying her though....

He is an idiot. Plain and simple. Most of HIS decisions were dumb, from changing his name to doing reality tv to marrying that bitch to hitting that bitch to violating probation to not knowing how to dress and act accordingly in court.

Sad but true, like you said, I don't believe that a male judge would've thrown him in jail, I believe he would've understood where Chad was coming from, but I put it on Chad because dude needed to remember where he was and just who he was standing in front of, hopefully she'll rethink it and reduce it after a few days, him being in jail any longer does no one any good.

yes.....I agree.....

what I want to say though is that this dynamic is what is played out in the workplace also.....

white women try any and everything to get more respect than black men.....

and will do so much damage when they are not....

Im not disagreeing that he shouldnt had married her but he could of atleast told his side of the story,instead of allowing her to shit on him in the media....It makes no sense at all...

Seriously...when you lay it out like that this actually sounds like it goes back to the days of when Black men got the right to vote ahead of White women, despite being referred to as "3/5ths of a man" in the Constitution, probably even before that but that probably solidified it.

They were paid back in spades. Affirmative Action has benefited white women the most.

I don t think its as deep as that....but it could be....but I don t think its that deep....its pecking order.....

a woman in the workplace knows that she is not on the same level.... in the eyes of the workplace.....as a white man.....

but she ll be damned if the workplace views a black man as her equal or better.

Real talk I think anyone who hasn t seen the video has nothing to say......

cause seeing this....damn.....:smh: this is ridiculous

As pointed out earlier it really isn't Chad as much as it was the reaction of the court, peeps laughing & what not, if that didn't happen she may not even have noticed or possibly have let it slide.

I wonder why she didn't tell her bailiff and those cops to take it seriously.

Only a white person would react like some of you. This was hardly worth any jail time, this is some racist bullshit.

Judge overreacted to Johnson's slap
Lester Munson [ARCHIVE]

ESPN.com | June 10, 2013
Memo to Judge Kathleen McHugh in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.:

Lighten up. It was a slap on the fanny. That's all it was. It came from a guy, Chad Johnson, who did not argue against a charge that he head-butted his wife in an argument. You, as the judge presiding in the original court case last year, had approved a sentence for the head-butt of probation and community service.

Then when Johnson failed to show up to a meeting with a probation officer, he landed back in front of you on Monday. You agreed to add three months' probation, community service and counseling to his original sentence but declined to send him to jail for his probation violation.

Then you took a serious proceeding and interjected a bit of casualness yourself -- asking him whether he was happy with his lawyer's work on his behalf. Yes, he was happy. He described the lawyer as "awesome." The description may not have been original, but the slap on the fanny confirmed his high opinion of his lawyer.

We all know, of course, that the Circuit Court of Broward County is a place where important matters are pondered and resolved, and we know that you must protect the dignity and the majesty of the court against unwanted intrusions of locker room levity and sophomoric behavior. There are victims in these cases, and it would be wholly out of line for a defendant to turn a judicial proceeding into a casual affair that might indicate justice is not being served and that he or she does not show proper contrition for his or her crime.

But, judge, you went too far. All you had to do was suggest to him that he was not nearly as cute as he thought he was. You could have given him a warning. Instead you decided that a guy who was on probation for a head-butt would serve 30 days in jail for a slap on the backside.

What was it, judge? The laughter in the courtroom? They were not laughing at you. They were laughing with Johnson as he expressed his relief that a humiliating and expensive episode was drawing to a close.

C'mon, judge. Johnson will be in jail Monday night. That's enough. If you let him out on Tuesday, you will have made your point. If you keep him in the Broward County Jail for 30 days, you will always be the judge who could not distinguish between a vicious head-butt and a triumphant slap on the fanny.

^^^

Without seeing the video the situation sounded so MUCH worse then it actually was.

Chad STILL wrong but I think the judge should be placed under review.

I don t need to say anymore........

its about her being racist.......

"Tea Party" GTFOH......

Cause she really exposed herself here.

Her political affiliation?

Is she biased cause it was a domestic violence case?

Or because she is a white woman in front of a black athlete?

He was/is a NFL star/celebrity?

There were cameras in the courtroom?

The ENTIRE courtroom laughing and noticeable SHOCK when she changed her decision?

Chad's LAWYER laughed so why wasn't HE also placed in contempt of court???

Again I think he shouldn't have done it but now SEEING & HEARING It?

:smh:

Just because OTHERS laughed at the shit don't mean chad should be punished. Judge got madder and madder after people kept laughing. ugh.

She let that "nigga" know his place and that is behind her

:smh::smh::smh:

Hope black people se the shit and understand the game being played out here.

:smh::smh::smh:

Yes, the judge is a racist asshole. Why is Chad in court? Why would you expect rational behavior from a white female judge deciding your fate? Chad doesn't deserve jail time but he put himself in that situation.........he can only blame himself for being there. We need to take responsibility for our own actions. You commit a crime, you do the time. In this case, he violated probation, he made the court have to go back to work for his dumb ass.

Some folks really have an unfounded sense of dread in the presence rich black men.

Some folks really enjoy seeing black men being abused and bullied.

Black folks are the number one target on a board with black in the label.

White, blacks and hispanics come to the black board to vent their dislike, distrust and disdain for black folks.

Every black person is either referred as being dumb, stupid, coonish, evil, ghetto, triflin, lazy, no good or whatever other negative label in the dictionary.

This judge abused her position.

:yes::yes::yes:

But abusing your position when it comes to black people is the norm for white people.

Just listen to your co-workers and associates.

So probation for beating up a black female and jail for disrespecting a white female

Terrible message

:smh::smh::smh:

And As much as they like to hide it...the subtitles always play it out...

Bottomline: Chad needs to stop attention-whoring. Everything this ninja does is in order to receive acceptance, adulation, and attention from the public, and lately all of that attention has been a serious detriment to his life and career. Dude needs to speak to a therapist to get to the root of his insecurity and his insistence on being the center of attention at all times. Nevermind the judge and all that courtroom bullshit, Chad is in this predicament because of Chad.

its the message that they want to send.

he didn't laugh. her co workers did.

tea party affiliate?

his lawyer should've asked for another judge knowing that from jump.

its never stopped being open season. sometimes we look at the person and excuse the behavior of the person fucking someone over.

in this case i can't do that. chad patted him. AFTER she told him to appreciate the job his attorney did which she totally didn't have to do.

But we always want to place blame elsewhere. I never see Grant Hill or Lebron James in these type of situations. I could name a bunch of solid superstar athletes who have never had to "violate" probation but what can you expect from someone who changed his birth name to ochocinco.

What's that saying about arguing with fools in public…

No-win situation. It was just a question of to what degree of an L he was going to take. He shoulda never married the broad, but he wanted to be on TV again. And then get married because they'd get another TV show. All of it for attention. The lust for attention is dude's Achilles' Heel.
