Watch that clay my guy I clayed my car and ended up putting scratches on it totally fucked me up. I didn’t have those fine scratches before using the clay bar so whatever it pulled out I was putting it right back on worse.I have a bottle, but just need to do a clay and paint correction before I apply it.
I've seen cars w/ ceramic coats and the shine is incredible!!!
Just do small sections at a time.I just ought a bottle a week ago. I'm afraid of applying it myself
How long did it take you?Just do small sections at a time.
About an hour to do a mid sized sedan. How long did it take you?
Yeah my SUV is black and it’s amazing how it stays clean. I now wash it myself because I can’t let these car wash shops do any kind of job on it. It’s good exercise lol.I had it done when I first got my car.
Got it done at a shop..got the full ceramic treatment..ceramic window tint and the 3 year ceramic coating...
Car shined like a new penny all I had to do was spray it off with water...
You either pressed too hard or used a aggressive clay. Next time use a clay mitt, if you are gentle it wont cause any marring.Watch that clay my guy I clayed my car and ended up putting scratches on it totally fucked me up. That’s exactly what it does. And you barely have to dry the car with cloth. If you have a leaf blower, that’s all you need.I wanna get this for the next ride I buy. Just wanna be able to wash my car with little to no effort thanks to the ceramic coating.
Can I get the fine scratches out?You either pressed too hard or used an aggressive clay. Next time use a clay mitt, if you are gentle it wont cause any marring.
scratches need to be polished out.Can I get the fine scratches out?

Yes, the detailer will get all fine scratches out before applying it. You need to get a skilled person though. Can I get the fine scratches out?
I have some small paint chips in the hood and front fairing thinking about getting the paint filler and then doing a ceramic coat.Yes, the detailer will get all fine scratches out before applying it. You need to get a skilled person though.
Agree w/ all this.If you have a bottle, you ain't got shit.
Proper ceramic is an epoxy compound that requires 2 chemicals to be mixed together. If you go to a proper shop it's going to take at least 60-90 minutes for a thin coat because they have to do it one section at a time before the compound dries out.
There are different thicknesses - and times that they last - so any decent shop will have some sheets to show you that. The thickest is going to take 3 days to apply and dry and lasts maybe 2 years or more.
They also have dry ice treatments and a bunch of other stuff.
Also, know that the thinnest lasts maybe 6 months and should be hand-washed.
But bottom line - those spray-on things aren't worth the money. Go to a detail shop and get the real thing.
