This show improved SO DAMN MUCH every season and I feel like it had strong potential to do even more because they had the Legion and found their perfect Lex in Jon Cryer.
Its more likely Stargirl is gonna be the new big lead.

Actor Blake Jenner has broken his silence regarding claims of mental, emotional, and physical abuse lodged against him by his ex-wife, Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist. In November of last year, Benoist posted a 14-minute Instagram video detailing her experience with domestic violence at the hands of a former, younger partner, describing instances where she was “pinned down and slapped repeatedly, punched so hard I felt the wind go out of me, dragged by my hair across pavement, headbutted, pinched until my skin broke, shoved against the wall so hard the drywall broke, choked,” among other instances. While she did not name her abuser in the video, fans were able to deduce that the actress was referring to Jenner, whom she divorced in 2016.
Now, 11 months after Benoit’s viral Instagram video, Jenner has broken his silence on the allegations in a lengthy post of his own. “Over the past eleven months, I have been thinking about how to address a personal situation made public in late-2019,” Jenner begins his six-page Instagram post. He goes on to describe his version of events and admits that he engaged in mental, emotional, and physical abuse in his past relationship with Benoist. “I take full responsibility and accountability for the hurt that I inflicted during my relationship with my past partner - emotionally, mentally, and yes, physically.” Rather than leave it at that, Jenner goes on to allege that Benoist emotionally, mentally, and physically abused him during their relationship. “Without absolving myself of any responsibility,” Jenner writes, “it is important to understand that there was mental, emotional, and physical abuse from both ends.” Jenner is set to star in Richard Linklater’s film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along alongside Ben Platt and Beanie Feldstein. The CW's upcoming Walker, Texas Ranger reboot, which recently landed a Jan. 21 premiere date, follows Cordell Walker (Jared Padalecki), a widower and father of two who returns home to Austin, Texas, after being undercover for two years. So far, Genevieve Padalecki, real-life wife to Jared, has been cast as Emily, Walker's late wife, who will appear in flashbacks. A writer on Superman & Lois, Nadria Tucker, continues to speak out about the series' lack of diversity, claiming the showrunner blamed its location. The upcoming Arrowverse show is set to premiere in February 2021 alongside The Flash. It will bring back actors Elizabeth Tulloch and Tyler Hoechlin, who last appeared in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. This time, Clark and Lois will be joined by their two teenage sons, as well as a host of other new and familiar DC characters. Superman & Lois will also trade Metropolis for Smallville, a decision fueled by a tragic event that's unknown at this time.

Unfortunately, Superman & Lois' journey so far has been rather bumpy. The coronavirus disrupted its planned pilot process, with filming only starting last month. The pandemic is also responsible for its 2021 premiere date, as The CW pushed all of its Arrowverse shows from the fall. There's been another major issue behind-the-scenes as well, as Tucker originally called out Superman & Lois for sexism and lack of diversity earlier this month. At the time, she posted a Twitter thread after receiving word her contract wasn't being extended. In it, she explained she fought for Black actors playing characters other than villains, as well as female-led storylines, but stated her concerns were ignored.

In a recent interview with Jonita Davis, Tucker went into more detail about her experience on Superman & Lois. At one point, she stated the showrunner blamed the series filming in Canada for its lack of diversity in supporting and background roles:
Davis also asked Tucker if those on the show explained why it would be difficult to find Black actors or if they just weren't seeking them out. Tucker responded, "You know, I don’t know. I really don’t. I can’t imagine THAT being a serious thing to say. If it was a joke, it seems inappropriate to me. It wasn’t a joke to me." Tucker's claims are concerning, to say the least. Coupled with her Twitter thread and the interview as a whole, they paint an unfortunate picture of the culture on Superman & Lois. If the series is indeed looking for excuses not to include diverse actors in supporting and background roles, it doesn't bode well for the show or The CW's work towards inclusion.
These concerns coming out before Superman & Lois has even premiered is a double-edged sword for the series. On one hand, it allows those working on the show to course correct and address the important issues Tucker brought up before its too far into its run. However, her comments have generated a lot of negative publicity for the series, which could hurt its ratings when it premieres. Even though it may be hard for some working on Superman & Lois to see Tucker's concerns out in the open, as the writer noted in her original thread, it's the only way to start positive and incredibly necessary change.
