Side note... this show makes no sense. You have a fort full of alien criminals and these mutherfuckers are staying quiet for all these years. Why do you have so many people that know her secret? Melissa Benoist is easily the best thing on this show and the special effects are cool, but I don't know... something is off.

Decided to watch the first 2 eps this shit is whack.
Here are my issues
1. What kind of cheap bootleg shit is this that they cant even mention superman's name, he is referred to as him or her cousin. You telling me DC couldnt give them permission for this?
2. No matter how many times her ass gets knocked down her skirt never lifts up.
3. Her boss's character is too unrealistic and tries too hard.
4. Supergirl's sister is the agency's biologist and field agent, yeah...
5. The black guy who leads the secret agency doesnt want a alien with the same powers as superman on his team? gtfoh!
6, Just because the hero is female doesn't mean they had to make the main villain another female.
I doubt I'm going to watch any more episodes

they blew so many opportunities even before the first episode...

* Rather than calling the show something that invokes individuality and separation from the Superman movie franchise i.e. Lois and Clark or Smallville, they used the original title SuperGIRL then tried to explain it away by having calista flockhart rant about how its not bad to be called a girl. As a black MAN I understand that calling a man a boy is often times used to emasculate in the same vein calling a grown woman a girl is used to infantilize.
There was a SuperBOY title but that was either about a young Kal El or a clearly teenage kryptonian. Kara in Supergirl is an adult. Lesbianfeminists can alter the spelling any way they want gyrl, grrl, gurl..its still the same thing...less than a grown woman.
* I get that a challenge for the character is to emerge from her cousin's shadow but so far it comes off as whining about why people won't accept her as a hero.
* the love triangle between kara, her coworker and jimmy is already tired.

they already mentioned him in the pilot..so other than that they'll just keep referring to Superman as "Him" or "..your cousin" etc
this the same reason why you wont hear any mentions of Superman(or Batman,Wonder Woman or any other big name DC hero for that matter) on The Flash,Arrow or Legends Of Tomorrow..that is unless WB/DC bites the bullet and makes television versions of"the Trinity"

I guess superman likes to play that "I'm the last of my race" sympathy card and kara would fuck up his style. The show makes no sense, superman hasn't shared any of his kryptonian knowledge or brought her to his fortress of solitude. He just dropped off his only living relative to live with a family so she can have a normal life with her super strength, lazer eyes, and ability to fly.

ok, they stepped it up. Martian Manhunter......now let's see what they do with him. DC is dumb for not having the shows and movies connect. Now when all the Justice League related movies come out, we gonna have two different people playing each character, a tv version and a movie version.

In everything else, he's the most out-of-place, unnecessary person in the Justice League.
I personally don't ever want to see him in the JL movie. If there's only going to be 1 "black" member on that squad, let it be Cyborg.
And yes, they are dumb as fuck for not creating one single connected universe with all the movies and tv shows.
DC/Warner Bros. obviously thinks they're playing it safe by keeping shit separate.
I'm betting that's going to hurt them in the long run.
They actually had a shot at nailing down the one thing that even Marvel hasn't been able to do properly, right out the gate.
A connected universe would save this piece of shit show they call Supergirl.
i think i read somewhere where it was said that Zack Snyder,Jonathan Nolan and some of the higher-ups at DC dont want a connected universe because it would"shackle" the writers of the various shows and restrict them or whatever..
now i think the new person in charge at DC Entertainmment plans to change the ruling somehow
Shit, they're already "shackled". The writers on all DC's shows have (and have always had) a yellow pages thick list of shit they can't say and things they can't do for fear of stepping on each others' toes. Maybe the solution is to at least have the same core group of writers and producers working on every show and every movie instead of leaving it up to a few random big wigs who clearly aren't capable of seeing the big picture. For instance, they're trying really hard to keep Supergirl separate from the other shows because they're trying to draw in women with this one, so it doesn't vibe well with Flash/Arrow. But, in order to save the ratings, now they're ready to do a Flash crossover. They should have been doing that from the jump instead of catering to a demographic so small that it almost doesn't exist.
TNT going to have to figure out the same when their Titans series drops(i think Greg Berlanti one of the showrunners on that one as well)

She is pouting her lips and shit like some spoiled bitch. It's those corny nick jr style writing that really fucks this show up. I think the whole point of this show is to sell those short skirt outfits Kara wears at the office.
on the subject of Superman(and Batman too) guess the genuine articles will be back in the comics next year

It's been the question nagging the nation ever since it was announced that CBS was making a Supergirl series. When would Laura Vandervoort be cast as anyone in this show?
Now! The actress who previously played Supergirl on Smallville has joined CBS'sSupergirl, but since the title role already belongs to Melissa Benoist (who is killing it, btw), who will Vandervoort play? How about someone from the other side? According to Warner Bros, Vandervoort will suit up as Indigo, "a living, strong-willed supercomputer that was sentenced to Fort Rozz after turning against the people of Krypton. Now on Earth, Indigo will let nothing stand in her way." If she sticks with the DC Comics canon, she'll be able to fly, create force fields, shoot energy blasts from her hands and eyes, and communicate with machines. Not too shabby.
Also joining Supergirl will be The Young and the Restless's Jeff Branson in the recurring role of Master Jailer. As his name implies, Master Jailer is a tough cookie who helps keep all the bad guys inside Fort Rozz. Now on Earth, he'll try capturing all the escapees and bringing them to justice.
CBS did not mention when Indigo or Master Jailer would appear in Supergirl.
Supergirl airs Monday nights at 8pm on CBS.
