Every single time I decide to check the show out I always tune in right when there is a scene with her lesbian sister talking about her feelings. I can't fuck with this show anymore.

Kara is from Candor, a neighboring planet of Krypton and not Krypton proper and because of that her physiology is slightly different than Superman in that she is MORE receptive to sunlight and thus she has the POTENTIAL to be stronger than Superman...but NO way should she beat him in a fight and no way she being on earth for ~10years compared to Supes 35 years of sun radiation!!

Sadly in this show she is from Krypton...

See i would have bought that logic if they said she was from Candor, but nope... Same planet as Superman.

Side note... I'm getting beat down by the Social Justice Warriors on IGN because I'm pissed off at the Kara beating Superman thing. lol

Stephen Amell Would Like To Do More With Supergirl's Melissa Benoist

by Jenna Anderson | July 9, 2017

The CW's DCTV universe has become known for its crossovers, which bring the DC Comics-inspired heroes from the network's four shows together in new and exciting ways. But for Arrow star Stephen Amell, there's one hero he'd like to partner up with more.

Amell is in Nashville this weekend for Heroes and Villains Fan Fest, and appeared at a panel moderated by ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis. During the panel, Amell was asked which of his fellow CW superheroes he wants Oliver Queen/Green Arrow to team up with.

"I'm always going to be partial to Barry Allen because I gave him his superhero name, stuff like that." Amell revealed. "I would like to do some more work with Supergirl."

While Oliver and Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) first crossed paths in this year's four-show 'Invasion!' crossover, the pair primarily teamed up in the larger group setting. In the early portions of the crossover, Oliver doubted Kara's contributions to the team, only to be quickly proven otherwise once she saved his life.

And Supergirl did partner up with Oliver's new recruits - Ragman, Wild Dog, and Mr. Terrific - during the Arrow portion of the crossover, but it was while Oliver was stuck in an alien-induced dream world. This means that a proper team up between the two is long overdue - possibly in the emotionally intense crossover planned for this fall.

You can find the description for the series below.

UP NEXT: Arrow Season 6 Begins Production

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-scienceexpert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).

Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family”.

Based on the characters from DC, ARROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (“The Flash,” “Supergirl”), Marc Guggenheim (“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Eli Stone”), Wendy Mericle (“Desperate Housewives,” “Eli Stone”), Andrew Kreisberg (“The Flash,” “Eli Stone,” “Warehouse 13”) and Sarah Schechter (“The Flash,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”).

Supergirl premieres on Monday, October 9th at 8 pm, while The Flash debuts on Tuesday, October 10 at 8 pm. Legends of Tomorrow moves to Tuesdays this Fall, airing right after The Flash on October 10. On Thursday, October 12 at 9 pm Arrow will premiere to round out the DC roster.

Wait a minute, Kara is stronger than Clark, I thought everybody knew that.

She has the "potential" to be stronger. Yes...

- Much in the same way that Dick Grayson has the potential to be a far better Batman than Bruce Wayne is currently.
- Or Wally West has the potential to be a better Flash than Barry Allen is.

However, Kara's not nearly as skilled nor experienced (currently) to truly beat Superman one on one without him holding back.
I mean really; if Kal-El went at her like he does with Darkseid, Zod or Doomsday, it's a wrap for her... :dunno:

Bottom line: This is a TV trying to stay afloat by keeping the heroine on top. (As they should)...

Laura Benanti is saying goodbye to the CW’s “Supergirl.”

“Smallville” alum Erica Durance has been cast to take over Benanti’s role as Alura for the upcoming season. Benanti had played Alura since Season 1, when the show debuted on CBS.

“Unfortunately Laura, who Greg and I have worked with for years going back to ‘Eli Stone,’ was unable to continue in the role due to work commitments in New York,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. “But we are so blessed that Erica has come aboard to offer her own interpretation of Kara’s mother. We had tremendous success with a former Lois Lane last season with Teri Hatcher. We know Erica will continue the proud tradition of legacy actors joining our shows and creating new and exciting takes on classic DC characters.”

Durance is best known for playing Lois Lane for six years on “Smallville,” and also recently wrapped up five seasons as the star of “Saving Hope.”

“Supergirl” casting has been ramping up ahead of the show’s third season premiere. In May, it was announced that Odette Annable was cast as Reign, the season’s villain.

“Supergirl’s” third season is set to premiere on Monday, Oct. 9 on the CW.

Ok this was the first episode that really felt like how a supergirl show should be. There were tons of Superman Returns references.

I feel like this type of shows RARELY start great...

Looking back Arrow is a good blueprint on how a Sci fi superhero can modify improve and course correct on the fly.

Seeing the improvement of supergirl?

Gives me real hope for inhumans.

Ok Supergirl and legends of Tomorrow are so far have the best season of the the DC shows and it’s not even close... this is Fucking bizzaro land.

This was a legit episode... but I’ve got an issue.

Supergirl can’t breathe in space but she can breathe on mars. I’m going to need an explanation.

Also she Merced like 12 white martins like it wasn’t shit.... I don’t think I’ve seen her actually kill before.

Man Carl Lamby Aka MANTIS aka Alias AKA the original Green Martin.... was on Fire this epsiode. I completely forgot how great he was.

Also this episode reminds me that... Carlos Bernard deserves his own 24 season. Why isn’t he on TV more. It just doesn’t make any sense why he isn’t on more tv more.

Also... they took another shot at Trump tonight.

(on fire...I SEE what you did THERE Fonz)

the Martian Manhunter story-line stepped up big time!

that was REAL acting and actually pretty solid writing...

they could make a mini series based SOLELY on the Martian wars.

and they SHOULD.

a shot?

that WHOLE episode was a basic middle finger to Trump....

And all I kept thinking was damn I miss 24!!!!

OK yeah I noticed

she killing them whites REAL easy

(they gonna explain away on some they "monsters" sh*t or its PTSD after Mon-El or its "war")

Completely agree with you about the Martian Manhunter story line... that was easily the best acting that this show has EVER DONE.

I was more invested in the Martian plot then I've been in anything else on this show.

But yeah... She just Merced an entire room of White Martians like they weren't shit and smiled after... WTF

like that sh*t was therapy.

OK I know many are tired of the gay story-lines on these shows

but I thought it was handled VERY well here.

I thought the ending was a little heavy handed because they essentially didn't TALK.

They YELLED at each other

on some closure sh*t

but it was sloppy

cause they fact that the father after over 15 years looking sad and gulity

EXPLAINED FULLY why he felt that way

NEVER blamed her really...

(also he didn't apologize, that was messed up, but I see what they were doing with the Mexican pride thing)

he BLAMED them white folk.

so I actually UNDERSTOOD his view point based on his age heritage and background.

and the fact he actually TOOK A DAMN Plane and BUS

to me they could have softened it.

even though we ALL already know he will pop up at the wedding

so .....

Finally a DC that directly addresses the religious effects of supergirl/ Superman. This is something that I’ve been wanting someone to address in shows for years. Superman Returns and to a much lesser extent Batman v Superman were the only ones to hint at this.

right i was saying the same thing

but the show got a little stupid trying to negotiate with a nut job with no powers....the after the reveal that the bomb was kryptonite the only other person that could fly it out was barking orders over the radio lol

Yeah I was disappointed that they made the guy crazy. This was a missed opportunity. They could have really used this as a way to fully explore the messiah complex. To have a moment to where people act like they would have if Jesus walked the earth. It would be natural for people to see Superman as a god.
