Can someone recommend me a good DVD-making software?

I am having a hard time with Sonic. It was making great DVD's for me and now it won't. Can someone recommend me a good DVD-making software and where can I find it? Thank you so much.

AVI to DVD

i use convertxtodvd...great program...keeps 1.4 gig flicks to less the 2.0gig....and only takes bout a hour to encode...then 2 to burn...
