Cam Newton is a Tier 3 QB - barely "startable".

Guess this was written before the road game at Redskins.

Love how he trashes Cam for not being able to carry a team but constantly throws Brees name in the mix... What's the Saints record been the last few years?

Saints haven't been to the playoffs in how many years? It's been the panthers winning it and now the falcons.
Rivers has been to the playoffs 1 time since 2009
4-5 playoff record
just coming off a season with 21 interceptions while having a fucking beast in melvin gordon having a beast in hunter henry and a myriad of passing options

let's put it like this

put cam on the chargers they got a 1st round bye
put kap on the chargers they got a 1st round bye
put rivers on the 49ers or the panthers the record is exactly the same as it is now.

Rivers had 16 turnovers over the last 7 games. They were leading in almost all those games going into the 4th. Literally they lost because of Rivers INTs. Also, over the last 7 weeks, their defense was ranked #2 overall.

Arizona finished with the second best defense (yards per game) and have DJ, Fitz, and had Floyd (who becomes a playmaker in one game with the Patriots) and couldn't win any games. No one is taking about Palmer.

And never will.
Franchises are going to lose and lose and lose and not win because they insist on being bigots

NFL is a self described "entertainment" company. Selling fantasy to their base, is apart of what keeps the lights on. And their base is that Fox News watching, middle America crowd.

Benjamin got 118 targets this season (23rd...and he missed games with injuries). he got targets, he's just a HORRIBLE route runner and struggles to get separation.
118 isn't a lot.

Puts him on par Mike Wallace and Brandon Cooks

Evans 175
Odell 169
Edelman 158
Hilton 156
Brown 155
Jordy 152
Allen - 151

No reason Benjamin wasn't up around those numbers.

Which means white QB

@Spectrum showed me this

Buffalo Bills – Tyrod Taylor – 6 years in the NFL now 2 as a starter, basically as pointed out by someone else I won’t take credit for this, outside of Alex Smith you are hard pressed to find quarters who get better after 6 seasons doesn’t matter if they ride the pine or play. It doesn’t happen. He is a great runner and not a great passer doesn’t appear to have a feel for the game, can’t find the open reciever, holds ball too long, etc, etc, etc, Hey you know what you have and since he can’t win games in the 4th quarter Kelly is right he won’t lead you to the next level. Moving on.
Denver Broncos – Trevor Siemian – 2nd year player – 6th round pick still has upside but some limitations, but wait there is more, in addition to Trevor Siemian you also have lasts years first round pick Paxton Lynch waiting in the wings, that’s two quality young QB’s to work with.
Jacksonville Jaguars – Blake Bortles – Showed a ton of promise in year 1 and year 2, regressed in Year 3 but still a young guy with a ton of upside not sure how you can go wrong here.
Los Angeles Rams – Jared Goff – My GOD who would not want a chance to work with a young QB who was the #1 overall pick just a year ago.
San Diego Chargers – Phillip Rivers – Veteran Franchise QB, if you are a young coach and want steady leadership on the field you have your guy already.
San Francisco 49ers – Colin Kaepernick – Yep you have us on this one. Here is the single job opening that when it comes to QB is much, much worse than Buffalo’s. However on a Bright spot they hold the #2 pick in the draft and will likely have the QB of their choice since I believe Cleveland is taking Myle Garrett #1 overall.

Since I am first and foremost a Buffalo Bills Fan and would want to do what I think is right for the team. I will state without question right now that If Jacksonville offered a strait up trade Blake Bortles for Taylor I would jump on it. If Denver offered up Paxton Lynch and/or Trevor Siemian for Taylor, If LA wanted to Trade Goff for Taylor. I would once again jump all over it. The only guy on that list I would pass on is Kaepernick.

You are talking about a guy going into his 7th season who without his ability to run isn’t good enough to be a 3rd string quarterback in this league vs. guys who are younger, have more upside, and are already better passers.

Benjamin is NOT that type of player. He damn sure shouldn't be targeted as much as Evans or Jordy Nelson. You're crazy.

Being targeted 7.5 times per game is right where it should be for Benjamin considering his route running ability and drop rate.

Man. That comment section is wild. They said they would taking fucking Goff over Tyrod. Tyrod is coming off a pro bowl season in 2015 and Goff just had one of the worst seasons (prorated) for QBs in NFL history but they would take him over Tyrod :smh:

Dude said.. he needs more targets.. look how many Odell gets! lmbaooooooooooooo

Odell is a complete wr. And Truthfully Odell doesn't even get enough targets compared to the amount of times he's actually open and Eli cannot get him the ball
This is why they stopped all those deep routes they ran when he first came into the NFL
Remember he used to catch bombs?
Now he has to take a slant to the house because his QB cannot throw it accurate enough to get him those passes in space like he used to.

And I'm going to call them out on it every time
They've established the rules. If they want to be delusional and shit I'm going to be delusional too and argue with facts as well and frustrate the fuck out of them they won't frustrate me ever again

Yep. All his shit now are 5 yard slants that he takes to the house because if it's 20 yards or more down the field, Eli gonna spray that shit off target.

He is THAT type of player. He had 73 receptions and 1000 yard his rookie season.

He is 6'5 240lbs.

He needs a more consistent QB

Yet they will tell you Cousins had a better year than Cam even tho the clown ain't make the playoffs nor can't beat teams with 8-9 wins.

4900 yards on 65% comp% with 25 TDs and 12ints and some fool told me he would take those stats over Cam's

Lmaoo

No the fuck he isn't. And you sound retarded putting him in the same tier of Jordy Nelson, Beckham Jr, and Evans.

6'5 240lbs..so what?... can he run routes, consistently get open, and catch the ball? The problem with Benjamin is that after injuring his knee he can't get off the line without being jammed up. He already struggled with getting separation and depended on size alone... but you add his drops, regression in getting separation because he lost some explosiveness because of the injury, and his inconsistency with catching the ball, and this is what you get. Benjamin got how many targets he deserved. He was the 23rd most targeted and he's no better than the 23rd best WR in the league.

Benjamin is a WR2 at best.

He is THAT type of player. He had 73 receptions and 1000 yard his rookie season.

He had 63 receptions and 941. This is who he is. He's no better than this. Panthers needs to eventually get themselves a true WR1 who can run the full route tree and make plays. They have a guy who is a burner but can't catch (ginn jr). They have guys that can run routes but can't get behind the DBs (funchess). They have a guy who can't run routes but is a big target (Benjamin). They need a true WR1 who can do all of those things (evans, obj, green, browns, etc).

Philp Rivers threw 21 and Eli threw 16 ints.

His play was not the reason they allowed Julio Jones to have 300 fucking receiving yards and this defense should NOT be in the playoffs.

Rivers completed +60% 4k yards and 33 tds..

Eli +60% 26 tds 4k yards and is in the playoffs

Cant wear blinders just cuz you like a guy. Cam had a poor season

Man and I swear you can't say shit about Drew Brees

It's the same ol thing blame the defense

Fuck all that you are supposed to be all world lead your team

Eli +60% 26 tds 4k yards and is in the playoffs

Cant wear blinders just cuz you like a guy. Cam had a poor season

Rivers accounted for 30 turnovers and his defense ended up over the last half of the season ranked #2 in the nfl.
So I don't care if he completes 60% of his passes- Bradford completed 71% and 33td's is great but 21 interceptions is not a good touchdown to interception ratio for a guy who's 35 years old in year 11 of being a starter. he should know better...
none of this means Cam didn't have a bad season. He did.
It's troubling that after 1 year of not making the playoffs after 3 straight and a super bowl appearance last year while being the MVP we can question whether he'll even be a "tier" qb
but a dude who's 35 and led his team to the playoffs 1 time since 2009 is just perfectly fine..

Thread aint about Rivers he didnt have a great year dude just brought him up and I spoke on it that being said he still had a better season than Cam its not even a debate and Cam was mediocre this year :dunno:

Bias is a fucked up thing. Naturally, fans are going to have bias. Announcers and sports personalities are going to have bias. But if coaches and GMs engage in racial bias at the QB position these days, they risk their jobs. Because obviously someone is going to take the better black QB and build a team.

Rivers is the direct reason his team didn't make they playoffs.
Thread became about the writer's and who they pick and choose to slam and who they choose to give unlimited passes to for me because it's the same thing. Over and Over again. Jim Kelly came out and said after 2 years of starting Tyrod isn't consistent enough.. though his numbers have improved over the past 2 years.. Bills had the 7th ranked offense this year with him leading.
But too inconsistent after 2 years
It's the same like with your squad when Jameis was going through growing pains bigots were writing maybe we need to see what Mike Glennon can do and you know first hand Glennon is ASS

And this isn't saying Cam didn't have a mediocre year, he did but the article is writing it like HE is the reason the panthers didn't make the playoffs like he failed them and everyone else held up their end of the bargain when they did not.
That's all fam.

No they're not because we have to bypass those dudes and realize that they work for someone TOO
Rex Ryan of all people fought to have Tyrod in the game. The Gm said it wasn't his decision to bench Tyrod it was from upper management... upper management means owner if you're the fucking GM
until these OWNERS stop being bigoted pieces of shit nobody is in danger of losing their jobs
and as long as scouts can LIE and prop up unproven white qb's then Goff will be the 1st pick and Dak will be going in the 4th round. 1 franchise found a future and the other set theirs back for 5 year...

Cam played awful this year by HIS standards.

I watched every game.

I live for football. I can tell when a QB plays well regardless of o-line, running back, receivers...

Cam played awful this year. Was not accurate. Threw in coverage. Didnt seem to have coverages figured out.

How many games could we say at the end, win or lose Cam played well today?

Of course its also true that his running game sucks, o-line is no better then average, his receivers dont scare anyone, and the system they run puts him at risk.

Panthers took a step or two backwards all around this year.

Shit, that transcends race. The Brown's owner passed up Carr for Manziel. All these football guys want their own guys. They want guys who they think can help them win.

Trust me, I've watched one team go through so many regimes it isn't even funny. And the problem is that each one wants its own guys -- whether black or white.

Not denying racism exists in the league, but its further down on the list these days.
