That’s cool but what has she or most importantly WHAT HAS HER TEAMS WON?
There's nothing to get
She's a good basketball that people like watching play. Yes being white has helped her tremendously but she's not the first good white women's basketball player.
She shot from far away and it was amazing and crazy to watch in college. Unlike most other women's college basketball players the interest in her carried over as well as the other rookies to the pros.
And that's good for women's basketball.
This is a Black men's message board talking about and watching the WNBA and many for the first time.
I've been a fan of women's basketball for as long as I remember because I'm a fan of basketball.
Why did fans latch on to Caitlin and start watching? Because she shot from far away like Steph and it was fun to watch. Not to mention the passing.
We can't control racist fans or white people who only like and cheer for her because she's white. Those are the people that have you upset and those are the people that I don't interact with or read what they have to say so I don't have the same issues.
No her teams haven't won because the other teams have been better.
She was so good that her coach retired instead of coaching those bums when Caitlin left!
But no she hasn't won a championship.

She gets all the respect, the accolades, the glory, the praise, but none (limited at best) of the blame.

When they get eliminated from playoffs, it’s still gone be someone else’s fault. They’re still going be talking about her during the finals. It’s giving skip bayless Cowboys Tom Brady vibes.
Win something first. Otherwise she’s Karl Malone (stat wise) but but but she set all these records, the other teams were just better, the coach didn’t make proper adjustments, she needed more help. Nah since it’s all about her, catch this heat too
I expect an immediate impact and I believe people will too. Especially after we've seen what these talented rookies can do.
Paige is very talented and has a bag. Can shoot, distribute and is a play maker. I look forward to seeing her next season in the league...

I appreciate that you understand that I'm objective and reasonable. As I said before, I have no angle and don't give a shit about Caitlin no more than I do the majority of the other WNBA players.
I do like watching her play more than most other WNBA players because she's fun to watch play. Just like Arike, Ja Morant, Steph and a few others.
Yes Caitlin has issues that are negative. She throws bad passes at times and has frivolous turnovers. Sometimes her teammates do fuck up her passes though!
She shoots from too far away. Just because you can make it from 35 feet away don't mean that you need to shoot it from there. If she got a little closer her percentage would be much higher.
And she complains a lot. Much of the time it's valid, but she still complains a lot.
When they lose in the playoffs they'll just lose. Currently they're not the best team in the league and there's only one champion, so most likely they'll lose. If she plays bad it's on her, if she plays good and gets beat then they lost to a better team.

Oh and about this being the WNBA thread, it's turned into that but it's still mostly about Caitlin and the Fever.
For next season a new thread should be created for the new season so that people don't have the stigma of dealing with a specific Caitlin Clark thread.

Caitlin appeals to the masses. I’ve heard people say Angel is too pretty for basketball and gone give girls self esteem issues. If Clark comes out gay, watch everything sky rocket
