Caitlin Clark Is The Truth

I saw a clip of her hustling calling for the ball last night when the team was down by 16 with 2 minutes left

I'm not opposed to this as much as I may of been in the past. I know people may see it as cheesing. But it happens all the time in various sports. Sky look like they are about to bail out of the playoff hunt. May as well give the fans and organization a few things to be proud of.

Reese has exceeded expectations this year. Baby girl just need to work on her game during the offseason. Add a few wrinkles and come back better.

Question: What is the state of the WNBA with regard to statflation and pacing?

Because if I'm looking at those numbers from an NBA lens, I'm taking both Bird and Taurasi's rookie seasons over Clark's.

Huh? Maybe I'm seeing something wrong. But CC has better numbers in all those metrics except shooting percentage. Which was still basically a tie.

There has to a Vegas line with over/under how many missed layups per WNBA game.

It is wild how many point blank layups are missed.

I get it though. They just are not that close to the rim even when they jump. Plus, some of these mofos just throw the ball at the backboard and hope for the best!

My point, though, was that in the NBA, because of pace, the averages from 20 years ago were much lower than now. You have to compare players to their competition.

Averaging 30 points per game when the average team scored 95 is very different from averaging 30 when the average team scores 120. You can't just compare numbers straight up without context.
