Guess I misunderstood the new WNBA TV deal. I was under the impression they had struck an independent deal apart from the NBA. There had been talks about it earlier this year. So I figured thats what happened..based on the wording of the news.
The 2 billion over 11 years is part of the new NBA rights deal. Long story short..the NBA is the one giving the league a bump in pay. That 2 billion will come from the 76 billion dollar deal the NBA has negotiated. There are some that felt the league deserved a bigger share..
They dropped some interesting numbers. CC games make up about 33% of league attendance. That could start to even out some as other young stars with established fan bases like JuJu begin to enter the league.

This was a horrible take. I swear people be having low IQ's. Despite how great A'Ja Wilson has been, most people never knew who she was until Caitlin Clark. Because of the exposure Clark has generated, A'Ja is finally getting the recognition she deserves.

Bruh, not a single mention of A'ja on BGOL in all the years she has been in the WNBA until this season. 99% of us on BGOL did not followed the WNBA. Before this season, most people could not name 3 WNBA franchises or 10 players.
Look at this thread as an example, people are now starting to like specific players and teams. We are even taking the time to watch games an argue online about which players are the best, GOAT and ROTY. The WNBA has arrived and hopefully all the sistas that had to play for 60k a year finally get what they deserve with more revenue opportunities.

Because of Clark, I would not be surprised if Angel Reese wins All star MVP. She is going to dominate the boards and Clark will assist her on at least 12 points.
No one was watching the WNBA and the ratings and attendance reflected that. Those are facts, and the people who you claim are pissed off are delusional idiots.
