Caitlin Clark Is The Truth

What do you want me to say. I could argue Nick Wright Colin Cowherd Skip Bayless etc. all say dumb shit. I don't understand how this is exclusive to Smith.

Still can't figure out how this dude has a show..i used to rock with him but it's obvious that he's a troll...i bet him and Bomani be laughing all the way to the bank..

Stephen A has to many black people on his show for him to be a coon, man. Hell when Shannon was railroaded it was Stephen A who looked out for him

We have to stop misusing the coon word

Whitlock is a goddamn coon. He would never surround himself with ninjas

This is why McNutt is getting so much praise for her bs. Its simply Stephen A hate. I'm getting it now
Jason Whitlock had an entire show featuring so-called black men as panelists and he still got called a coon.

So just because YOU don't know who she is, she's irrelevant? Monica is one of the up and coming stars on ESPN especially after the massive layoffs last year. it's almost like if youre not a sage steele who "knows her place" she not supposed to get any shine...she's not going back on First take again, but she will be on other shows on ESPN. Hell, she might be on Pat McAfee before she's back on First Take
I absolutely KNOW who she is. The point I'm making is that the average person has no idea who the fuck she is. But if yall want to ACT like McNutt is some star because of yesterday sobeit.

Stephen Anthony or Antoine Smith is a hoe ass bitch

Stephen A is playing himself with his bullshit. He's way to sensitive when anyone challenges him and it shows.

Monica McNutt will be alright. First you have to remember she is the radio color commentary person for the Knicks so she's going to already have steady income.

Also...with the change in the contracts NBC will be taking over what used to be what TNT had when it came to basketball. NBC will jump at the chance to get her if ESPN is being dicks to her.

He's taking this too seriously. All he had to say was yes, we didn't cover them as much because people weren't interested.

I'm so confused by the rhetoric in this thread. How did he play himself when she attacked him on that neck bobbling shit.

it's obvious he didn't expect that from her. But again first take doesn't cover the NHL nor MLB. Hell he doesn't even cover some NBA teams. When was the last time you heard him talk about the Utah Jazz or the Brooklyn nets for example. So this isn't a testament against women sports.

Why would he cover a league that nobody cares about and he's in the ratings business. Is he supposed to do a segment on Diana taurasi and Sue Bird and watch all his viewers go over to undisputed where they're constantly talking about topics people care about.

Hell no... He wanted to put that bitch in her place but he knew he couldn't.

Women are always placing responsibility and accountability on men when they're not supporting their own shit. It's not Stephen A's job to grow the women's game. It's their job. Bitches know every ignorant sexy red lyric but can't tell you who number 33 is on the court.
Stephen A. has always been sensitive and gets in his feelings when he feels someone has called him out. The woman is right all of these shows could have given some real WNBA coverage over the years, they'll have a 2 hour show and talk about the same Lebron, Cowboys, Brady, Warriors topics over and over just change the title of the segment or bring in a different analyst, they could easily have used ONE of those segments to cover something else. I've only watch these shows segments on YouTube for years because no way I'll watch them talk about the same subject over and over again

First Take is in the ratings business. Why would you cover some bs that would tune the average American out. Make that make sense.
It's the same logic used to push the trash music of today though homie. The industry used to push kid n play, Kwame, Dela soul and Tribe. Then all of a sudden, positive music isn't what the masses want.

Steven A could have used his influence more. IJS.

Caitlin Clark only putting up 3 points while she is approaching her physical prime tells me she won’t be an elite scorer at the professional level. With that knowledge, what do you do with her:
1) focus on playmaking like a traditional PG
2) focus on migrating college style of play to the professionals at similar or better efficiency
3) relegate her to a high level role player.

Dudes on here on some cac whitewashing history sh*t

Stephen A was so bad and embarrassing trying to transition to being a 'nfl analyst" ESPN had to create a special program with the real experts teaching him the game he was claiming to know so much about.

he was messing up players names, formations, barely knew how many downs, etc

Because he was the NBA guy PERIOD.

Later they had to do the same with his lack of any real baseball knowledge

That's how he got the lazy word crutches from...

I'm not an "afficionado" like you

As a "savant"

To curry favor with experts and former players who would kill him on first take

He swear he know everything and started everything on that network. And folk letting him do it to.
 :lol:i said yesterday that I laugh when I watch these shows and it's obvious they don't watch the games but pretend they do

How could he have done that? I’m not following this closely enough to have any informed opinion but interested to know what Smith could have done but didn’t.

I said last week the team is going to have to focus on making Kelsey Mitchell and now Aliyah Boston their primary scorers and Caitlin get hers in the flow of the game because teams are determined not to allow her to score. I was watching their last game, it was the 4th quarter the Fever were down by almost 30, Caitlin only had 3 points and there were times they were still picking her up full court and trapping her. When the Fever played the Sky even the commentators were pointing out that when the Fever started letting someone else bring the ball up the court it confused the defense because their game plan was full court pressure and then trap Caitlin Clark when she crossed half court

By using one of the many platforms he has to highlight and focus on the WNBA. If he had a segment on one of his programs say called what's up with the W. He could have had the stars on to talk about the league and drive interest to it. Then he could be but hurt about not getting credit for the current interest. Instead he just a johnny come lately. He can hold that L.

When you can't defend your position then the person responding to your shit post is mad or hurt. Then you go to the next lame thing and mention crackas. Lame juvenile shit, man

Btw he didn't deflect he's defending his position and highlighting what he has done. You know facts matter. As a person who watches first take and undisputed every damn day it's easy to defend facts.

You have no position to defend. You on here ranting like you upset about shit. You're on here going on about how McNutt is a bitch and Stephen A needed to put her in her place.

Relax McNutt raised a damn good point and Stephen A didn't like the fact that he got called out in public about a subject he brought up. So instead of addressing it like a man he got on his podcast and started talking about how he put her on and how these other people got put on by him and that they all need to appreciate him that's not addressing what she said.

Clark is a start. But u need multiple Clark's to start growing the league. Having just one person isnt going to do shit long term. I think thats what people are missing. U need a Clark, angel and more on multiple teams.

Hell football got boring for a .moment cause messi and cr7 were winning ballon dor even when they were shit.

The difference with football is it's still a multi billion dollar industry when it's "boring".

The WNBA needs to ride this Caitlin Clark thing til the wheels fall off. The numbers speak for themselves.

I'm with you on focusing on Mitchell and Boston. They've been the most consistent players on the team. Plus, with CC's shooting struggles just let her distribute.

Teams are picking her up because they know she's a rhythm shooter. She looks to come down court (almost always on the left side) with space, do her side-step left and shoot a 3. The smart defense is to pick her up full or mid-court and throw that rhythm off. As we saw in the Final Four game versus UConn, and all the way up to today, the plan works. It throws off her rhythm which completely throws off her shot. Her shooting performance versus the Liberty is why they kept it up all game. Even when they were up by 30.

Stephen A is in the ratings business and the Wnba was delivering a horrible product. The second he gives the Wnba extended time on his show is the exact same time he loses his audience to Fox.

And again why is Smith responsible for covering the Wnba? Is it because he's black? I don't see these demands on any of the whites who have shows

My problem is that McNutt had an agenda that she would only pull on a black man. Cacs like skips colins greenies etc somehow they get the ultimate pass.

The wnba is primarily a black league. He could have given a little more shine. He did cover it, and former and current players are on the platform, but when the narrative about men not supporting it was a missed opportunity IMHO.
