first let me start by saying that as we are both victims of racism and white supremacy i am saying this out of concern and respect.
she is right.
the thing about racism is that it is subjective. blue eyed jane could be very nice to you, give blow jobs and loan you money but that relationship can not only come at a cost to you but it is also individualistic. she could have voted for a certain legislation that targets minorities but she still loans you money and laughs at your jokes. a real nice person.... to you.
although we cannot say every white person is racist it is logical that all whites be seen as having the potential to be racist. as a victim of white supremacy/racism you have that logical course of thought because not having that thought could leave you open to victimization from someone you trusted that you should not have. every white person has to prove to you that they are not racist.
how do they do that? they cant. again see my previous statement about racism being individualistic. they can only prove how they treat YOU.
imagine how quickly white supremacy/racism would be defeated if all people of color looked at the world through her eyes.
i cant pretend to understand how you feel about whites but from your response you have a close relationship with atleast one white person, male or female and i suspect that this relationship can and will cloud your judgement on how to logically think about racism/white supremacy.
i admire your friend btw. you should spend more time with her and maybe you can understand why i admire her.
Nah yea she's a great person.. She makes sure all us young brothers keep our head on a swivel and stay focused and alert.. no matter what I say at the end of the day I respect her greatly and appreciate the fact that she's willing to take the road less traveled for the greater good. She always has a positive word and outlook for US..
