Look bruh, a small piece of advice first...never rely on "flashing" your weapon as in drawin' down on someone. In other words, if you pull it, plan to use it! Beyond this, use common sense about where you are and more importantly, WTF is going on around you, wherever you may be.
In terms of a weapon, this is what I have right now...HK.

.45 caliber Tactical USP. Will take a mothafuckas breath while blowing his chest completely out, PERIOD! a .357 Python...

...I don't like the nickel plated stuff, but if you are looking for something powerful and concealable, do not want to spend time maintaining...cleaning and oiling...with an automatic pistol, think about the 4" Python.
Also, someone gave some good advice, go to a range, and try out some different pistols to get a "feel" for what you are comfortable with. HK's are expensive, but in my opinion, worth the investment. But any large caliber weapon like the HK .45 or Colt .357 Python is known as....OH SHIT, PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME!!! That is of course, if and when you do have to draw down. And I pray that you will never have to...
