Brock Lesnar FAILED June 28 drug test - 11 days before UFC 200

I was expecting this shit too happen..This dude came from a 5 year hiatus and his body probably got relaxed used to not fighting high level MMA. He probably lost a step or two from his absence and you ain't gone compete with them UFC niggaz coming fresh off a vacation.

then I invite u 2 get in the ring with any fighter from the ufc, say that same sheit and i'll sit back and watch um twist yo azz into a lil salty pretzel

stop being stupid

just because i am not a trained fighter does not mean
i cannot criticize the company and the sport

I had my annual physical back in April (Emory U. Hospital in midtown Atlanta) and they drew SIX vials of blood. The full lab results report was available for me to read in my online patient portal within 24 HOURS. They ain't got but ONE job - so why the fuck does it take the USADA so long to complete its tests???
apparently they do a lot of testing and then retesting to make 110% sure they have it right, it's very serous to say someone was doping, you don't want to give a false positive then get sued into oblivion.
also dues are trying to hide what they take, so who know the exact process to these test? maybe they just take long?

tbh i boxed amateur

so all i have to say is stand up only
and i would have more than a punchers chance

since most of them dont have any actual striking skill

SERIOUSLY???

I'm an avid boxing fan and even I find that insulting....

Dude
I watch boxing all day every day
By no means am I saying that I could out fight any of them...never that
But anybody with simple defensive boxing skills has a punchers chance.
I was listening to all the hype regarding Connor mcgregor then I saw his supposedly striking skills and asked if this was serious.

Watch the fight against aldo and see what I mean...the average amateur boxer would kill him in the ring...now grappling and all that it's a total different matter

Here's the problem. Boxing is PART of MMA, but it's only one part. If a guy just does BJJ(which is part of MMA) WITHOUT training striking(complete striking, not just boxing), he is asking for an ass kicking too. When you see people against the octagon getting knee'd and elbowed into oblivion, that's thai boxing training.

The average guy who works a regular job and does MMA training is probably boxing for at least 5 hours a week. Doing at least 5 hours of BJJ. Doing hours of Muay Thai and wrestling(yes, you have to know wrestling too). And that's just the average guy who does it for a hobby with MINIMUM training time.

Pros are putting in A LOT more work into ALL of that shit. If you coming from one discipline, you definitely going to need luck to beat an MMA guy.

What I hate is when people try to take ONE part of MMA and act like by itself it's a discipline that can compete with the total package.

Thank you. Old boy was looking at his Golden Gloves necklace from 91' talking..."If I can just land one.".

People, especially boxing fans and even myself, KEEP FORGETTING THAT THIS HAPPEN.

Now I don't know Havlcok from Adam but I'm pretty sure James Toney is a better boxer than him and Randy eliminate any punchers chance that hall of fame boxer had with a double leg takedown which can be learned by a novice in a week.

But you don't have to be a master at boxing to be good at MMA, you just have to be VERY GOOD at boxing, kicking, grappling, submissions.

For you to scoff at the boxing skills of an MMA fighter is like a soccer player scoffing at the skills of an NFL field goal kicker; there's a lot more factors involved and just because you can kick a ball pretty well doesn't mean you even have a "punchers chance" of beating him out. Your "chance" is getting double leg takedown to the mat seconds after the opening bell, just like James Toney who I worship.

I swear there is no respect for the "prize" aspect of prizefighter. A great boxer can't beat a great fighter, FIGHTING. Hell you said so yourself.

I'm a boxing fan over MMA btw.

Lesnar has always been 100% real and drug-free, and will continue to be so moving forward. It's all hard work. Orange juice, 8 almonds, green smoothies, plenty of rest, stairclimber, bench press, lean protein, a low-impact career (WWE & UFC competition require no physical exertion), and so on.

Never a shortcut, steroid, or any type of PED usage.

The key in life will forever be the 8 almonds though.

That's how you reach max human strength and potential.

I am 100% bullshitting, or am I?

old flabby toney...really...

old flabby toney...really...

Randy Colture wasn't in his prime either and Toney was talking BIG SHIT about "puncher's chance" until he met the double leg takedown and triangle arm choke.

Now standing up? Toney on his worst day would have murdered and will murder anyone in MMA right now....in a boxing ring....BOXING.

Which is my point, you can be GREAT at two limbs but if I'm GOOD at four plus can grapple- something you have no knowledge of- guess whose getting fucked up.

Hell Roy Jones Jr.- one of if not the greatest natural athlete to lace em up- in his prime would get WRECKED by a journeyman pro MMA fighter...fighting

BTW I'm a avid boxing fan way more than I like MMA. But I'm a realist.

Hunt: Give me half of Lesnar's purse or release me from the UFC
http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2016/7/1...ew-mark-hunt-brock-lesnar-usada-peds-steroids

Mark Hunt is furious with Brock Lesnar and the UFC. At UFC 200, 'Super Samoan' fought Lesnar in the co-main event and lost in a one-sided unanimous decision.

Many MMA fans celebrated Lesnar's return to the Octagon but things took a turn for the worse when it was revealed that the 39-year-old had failed an out-of-competition drug test stemming from June 28. The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) released a statement yesterday but have yet to reveal which substance Lesnar tested positive for.

Hunt, a fan favorite and combat sports veteran of 69 fights, told MMA Fighting that he wants half of Lesnar's purse or to be released from the UFC.

"Hunt asked UFC officials for half of Lesnar's purse or else he would like to be released from his contract effective immediately," Ariel Helwani reported on Friday.

Hunt has previously fought and beat Frank Mir and Antonio 'Big Foot' Silva, both of whom tested positive for performance enhancing drugs.

The New Zealander says that despite the USADA's best efforts, cheaters are still getting off too easily.

"The cheaters get a slap on the wrist and walk off," Hunt told MMA Fighting. "What penalty or deterrent is there to make them think twice? Nothing. And the [Nevada Athletic Commission], why should these [expletive] get anything? They are not the ones who had to fight with Lesnar or lose [to him]. I lost."

Prior to UFC 200, Hunt claimed Lesnar was 'juiced to the gills' so it came as no surprise to the former K-1 world champion that Lesnar tested positive. Despite the fact, it's still frustrating for Hunt to step into the Octagon against cheats.

It's likely that the bout will be overturned to a No Contest and Lesnar could face a two-year suspension. It's unlikely, however, that the UFC will compensate Hunt half of Lesnar's purse. The WWE superstar is reported to have made a staggering $2.5 million at UFC 200; the highest ever payout for the promotion.

Bloody Elbow will provide all the latest coverage as the story develops.

so why did he get to fight vs. Jon Jones being banned? and Hunt has a major gripe on that salary request. Shit this is the 3rd time he has faced a steroid user

Toney is a perfect example.

I've seen boxers, wrestlers, and bjj guys all think their art of choice is superior to MMA. People wrongly assume that all BJJ guys do MMA. Even after all MMA has proven, there are still purists. Styles have weaknesses(that's why MMA uses best from all). For example, wrestlers naturally give up their backs because that works in wrestling. Against a guy who knows BJJ, it leads to doom.

Not only can't boxers defend takedowns, they usually have no ability to defend or pass guard. Can't use guard when taken down. That can lead to a fucking mess.

I think boxing purists are the most vocal because of the way MMA tries to force standup for the casual fan. They also wrongly assume MMA guys are trying to be boxers or show off boxing. It's all in the game. Boxing guys are free to go to the local MMA gym and try to spar MMA rules. Closest thing to a street fight. It won't be pretty.

Dana White is laughing all the way to the bank

timing was PERFECT...

but I think it will REALLY hurt the sport

I;m not a big fan but it it possible this could hurt like it did to the Tour De France, the WWE (for awhile) or baseball?

Good to see Mark Hunt going off of late. Especially having faced the likes of Bigfoot Silva, Frank Mir, and now Lesnar ... and their testing issues.
