We have a myriad of problems. The problem is simple people looking for a simple answer. No solution is going to be good enough for some people, because each solution requires sacrifice, basically from answer group of people who won't sacrifice shit. ballscout1, I'm not defending the use of the word like I feel using it is a good thing...

...to the point that using the word 'nigga' doesn't even register as offensive. I know the history VERY well, but its the way we speak. Its hardly the only word that'd be considered offensive that is used by people that don't 'get it'.
Truth be told, I don't even think about the way many black people talk until I'm around people - black or non-black - who don't speak that way.
All those other expletives are no where near as demeaning historically to an entire race of people.

How you feel is subjective period. There is no absolute. So if someone sees it as endearment because that's how they choose to use the word then so be it. Those that don't then don't use it it's simple.

As long as this is a major issue, the easily distracted will focus away from bigger issues that affect them and the outcome of their lives.
I'm not an N word advocate. I am against looking down on black people who do use the word. I am against not including them in the overall goal of progressing.
