Breaking News: Multiple Police Officers Shot in Baton Rouge

Speaking a lot of truth.

We all know a few intelligent sounding crazy mofos, but based off what ive heard in most of his videos i havent heard him say anything that would suggest that he would go hunting for Cops. But I have heard a few things that would suggest that he would die for his dignity.

When a shooter is HIGHLY publicized, White or Black, Im always curious about what pushed them over the edge.

Dumbest shit I have heard. At least three Black men are dead at each other's hands. How does that prove rather than DISPROVE that Black Lives Matter? RIP to all the Brothers involved but if we stand in the street and eliminate each other, I just don't see a point being made. White folks don't see Blacks as men in blue, they see all of us as ******* and now they can sit back and talk about how we are killing each other (and egg that shit on)...,,,

man i just watched those two videos and dude does not seem like a murderer.

he does seem like a person who will fight back if threatened with deadly force

something isnt right about this one either
Crazy people are generally intellectual and very bright.

Don't know about this...(so they just gonna say the dead guy was the gunmen)

Read what the witness said he "saw and heard"

A man dressed in black and with his face covered began shooting indiscriminately after walking out of a convenience store and car wash in the Louisiana city
This is the horrifying moment a Baton Rouge police officer called for back-up moments after three of his comrades were gunned down by a masked gunman.

His voice cracking with emotion, he tells the radio dispatcher: "Shots fired, officer down, shots fired.

"City officer down. Shots fired, shots fired. We (unintelligible) where he's shooting from.

The dispatcher responds and the male officer adds: "We do not know where he's shooting from."

Three police officers have been killed after a group of gunmen opened fire on them in Baton Rouge in Louisiana.

One of the gunman was killed - but two others are still at large.

Is this the moment masked gunmen 'dressed in black' flee cops after gunning down officers?
The officers were responding to a call of shots fired when they were ambushed by at least one gunman, said Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden.

However, one witness said the shooting started before the police officers arrived at the scene.

Six officers were fired upon and three were injured, apparently seriously, says East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office

Two of these were Baton Rouge police officers, according to the city’s Chief Administrative Officer, William Daniel.

The third was an East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputy, The Advocate reports.

One is in critical condition, another is in 'fair' condition and the third's condition is not known.

Police received a call of “suspicious person walking down Airline Highway with an assault rifle,” a source told CNN.

When police arrived, the man reportedly opened fire.

A witness described hearing at least 25 to 30 gunshots.

They told WAFB: "I walked out into the street to see what was going on, there was a man lying in the street.

"I assume he was dead because he wasn’t moving."

The witness said the shooting started before police arrived.

Twitter user and Baton Rouge resident Latrell tweeted: "They in the woods looking for one suspect and there is also shooting happening by Cortana Mall."

“This was not a come at police shooting," the witness said. "There were men out here shooting at each other before police ever got here.”

A witness told WBRZ News 2 that a man dressed in black and with his face covered began shooting indiscriminately after walking out of a convenience store and car wash.

A flurry of gunshots was heard in live footage from WAFB. Police say the situation has been "contained" but further details have not been released.

Marquis Gibson was at the Hammond Aire Plaza mall when he heard shots and ran inside.

"Officers were falling down and hiding," he told NBC News.

A bomb disposal robot is searching for explosives on the suspect who was killed, WAFB reports.

It follows claims that one suspect has been shot by cops in the wake of the shooting.

A gunman was shot, a Louisiana State Police spokesman said, but his condition is not yet known.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office released a statement saying: "Three law enforcement are confirmed dead, three others injured.

"One suspect is dead, law enforcement believes two others may be at large.

"Asking the public if they see anything suspicious please call 911 immediately."

Mayor Holden told CNN. ”The victims may include police officers and sheriff’s deputies.”There is still an active scene.

"They are investigating,” he said. "Right now we are trying to get our arms around everything.

"The shooter is believed to be down as well, Holden said.

"Everything is moving fast and I have not been able to verify everything. It's like a nightmare all over again."

"I do not have the extent of the injuries," Sgt. Coppola told Fox News 8.

"We’re hearing that it may also include some deputies [with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office], but that’s preliminary information and I’m waiting on confirmation."

Two hospitals in Baton Rouge are reportedly on lockdown and police officers are showing up to show support for their fallen brothers.

The incident began at around 9am local time between Baton Rouge Police Headquarters and the I-12 road.

A very large manhunt began immediately.

Witness Colby Burrell said: “I went outside and saw a whole bunch of police officers, they all had their guns pointed down a street.

“They told me to go back inside.”

He also describes how the cops searched the neighbourhood searching for the shooter.

Mayor Holden added: "We're asking citizens to stay away from that area.

"And as it's Sunday we're asking people to pray for the families and officers."

Gunshots heard on scene as Baton Rouge mayor confirms two police officers dead
Governpr John Bel Edwards issued a statement calling the shooting "an unspeakable and unjustified attack on all of us at a time when we need unity and healing."

"Rest assured, every resource available to the State of Louisiana will be used to ensure the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice."

Yesterday a 12-year-old was arrested over an alleged plot to shoot Baton Rouge Police.

Three other suspects were already arrested in the case, after eight handguns were stolen in a July 9 pawn shop robbery.

Antonio Thomas, 17, Malik Bridgewater, 20, and an unnamed 13-year old were also arrested, the Times-Picayune reported.

Tensions are high in Baton Rouge after the killing of 37-year-old Alton Sterling by police.

"Whoever it was they was shooting indiscriminately"
Mobile phone footage captured the moment police shot Sterling at a close range as he sold CDs outside a convenience store on July 5.

Yesterday civil rights leaders and race campaigners joined hundreds of mourners for the funeral.

Grief-stricken relatives broke down in tears as the man lay in an open casket at the service.

The US Justice Department has opened a civil rights investigation into the shooting.

The death in Louisiana, and another in Minnesota, renewed outrage against law enforcement's treatment of minorities and also rekindled a national debate on race relations that began after police-involved killings two years ago.

Days later in Dallas, five police officers were shot dead by a racially-motivated gunman during a Black Lives Matter protest.

The rampage highlighted the dangers routinely faced by law enforcement officers, while adding a new element of concern about the racially tinged violence that has shocked many Americans.

'One of them caught my eyes'
Witness Brady Vancel said: "I was pulling up to a job site... as we were pulling up and parking the truck we heard at least 25 or 30 gunshots go off before anything had happened, any police had pulled up or anything for that matter.

"We thought it might have been a tool or someone working over there making a loud racket. We weren't assuming they were a bunch of gunshots going off.

"I walked out to the street to try and get an eye on what was going on and as I cut the corner there was a man laying on the parking lot out in front of me and assumed he was already dead because he wasn't moving.

"And as I looked to my right another man caught my eyes.

"He was running towards my direction and he realised I was standing about 40 yards in front of him.

"He stopped and cut the other direction and I had took off in the opposite direction and he took off running and I ran back into the house we were working in and I got everyone to look the doors and lock it down."

Mr Vancel said the men were shooting at each other before the officers arrived.

The men were shooting before cops arrived, a witness said
"This was not a 'come at police' situation they weren't targeting the police at first - I don't assume so - because these were men out here shooting at each other in an empty parking lot until the police showed up and it turned into a gun battle," he added.

"I’m guessing to try to get themselves free or to try and get out of the situation, but that's when the police and everything got involved.

"Before then it was multiple gunshots coming from different types of weapons - the one that was running towards the side of the street I was on was holding an assault rifle, I assumed an AR15."

"They were running away from the person that was laying on the ground in the parking lot but as I was running away I still heard gunshots fired.

"We heard at least 30 or 40 more gunshots after we got into the home and locked the doors."

none of its right.

as soon as REAL traction is gained this type of shooting happens

all these fucking years in a row with protests and shit cause of the same exact reason. we protest this shit annually every summer almost but now because enough is becoming enough with people who have money (black celebs...relevant and powerful ones) they're not sitting on the sidelines now, now suddenly all the black dudes in the army decide to be lone gunmen and kill police officers

child please.
Every revolution will have rogue people doing dumb shit. This is no different. Very sad because this hurts the cause

It's very different. They attached a negative thing to BLM.
saying every black person that kills a cop is a part of BLM is like saying every cop that kills a black person is a part of the KKK
but only one of those things will be on your tv screen.

So holding BLM signs and blocking traffic is the key? we been doing that since the 50's only thing diffrent now is that they just use pepper spray and tear gas instead of knocking our grandmothers and mother teeth out on the pavement blasting us with water cannons and sicking vicious ass german shepards on our nutsacks

its time to change the approach just saying!

What approach do you suggest they change to?

Protest has always been part of the solution for positive change. How do you thing we eventually got the laws changed against segregation and voting rights.

Violence is an emotional response. Anger solves nothing but makes the situation you fighting for worse. What has this shooting or the Dallas shooting accomplish?

This is Montrell Jackson. He was 32 years old when he was stolen from this earth. He worked for the Baton Rouge Police Department, his unit number was 3519, and he was a Wolfhunter.

Jackson's uncle, Charles Cavalier, spoke to local media and said Jackson was "one of the best guys you'd ever want to know." Cavalier went on to say Jackson loved being an officer and died doing what he loved.

According to Cavalier, Jackson loved the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans and had season tickets to the Pelicans. The two were planning on seeing a game together in the coming weeks.

Jackson leaves behind a wife and young child, whom Cavalier said he loved very much.

Jackson is no longer with us physically, but he will forever be with us in spirit.

Your sacrifice will not be in vain. Keep our chairs warm in Valhalla. We'll see you soon, brother.

End of Watch: 07-17-2016

There might not be a shooting though im sure there will be reports here and there of someone getting hands put on them..

I dont know if there will be a shooting, to many FBI CIA involved im on the east side of cleveland 5 minutes from downtown and for the last month these strange ass black helicopters been flying real low two at time shit look real scary im thinking they military choppers

Black folk have to stop feeling like they are responsible or obligated to defend every dumb thing a black person may do.

BLM need to have organized leadership who are able to denounce events like what happened in Dallas and Baton Rouge. This is a minor setback but we must continue to come together. I feel like this is the first time that awareness has developed across all of our brothas and sistas. Now if we can get our rappers to talk about progress and creating wealth within the community.

That's just your " Bitch assed-Ness" Talking...the cause will be fine.
Killing random cops does nothing. How does that change the system that is fueling the police to act the way that they do. The more killing of cops creates more laws to protect them.

What approach do you suggest they change to?

Protest has always been part of the solution for positive change. How do you thing we eventually got the laws changed against segregation and voting rights.

Im just saying when the white man really wants something such as oil, land, diamonds, gold (see Iraq,Afghanistan,Indian owned america etc etc) he dont ask for it he take the shit by dropping big ass bombs on you spilling your blood in the street.

The cracker got one thing right for sure if i want something theres no problem with me spilling your blood to take it the one thing every person on planet earth understands is DEATH and the cracker has that masterd to a tee
