I understand not wanting your child to be negative but as a black parent no matter how light skinned or well.off you are if you are glossing over or minimizing the racism and prejudice that your child can experience in this country ( let alone in any other country ) you are doing them a disservice
I never had to have a "talk" or any of that other stuff becuase it was made very clear to.me long before I became a teen how racism bigotry and hatred works in the USA and in other places ...

She lived in a bubble and had an idealized view of NYC. That city, as liberal as it is, has a long history of racial hatred and violence. From the Harlem unrest of the 30s-40s, to the murders of Yusef Hawkins and Amadou Diallo, to the Crown Heights unrest and Central Park 5, NYC isn't the liberal utopia she, perhaps, thought it was.
This video is a great example of using faulty data to reinforce an argument. One person's anecdotal evidence doesn't inherently disprove the facts.
This is also a good example of why I don't respect Kirk in general. He is smart enough to know that this is the case, but because he sees an opportunity, he piles on to give the faulty argument added emphasis. Conservative "debate" skills boil down to being the loudest, most repetitive voice that drowns out all of the others.
The kid who is actually making a fair value argument was also mad respectful of the random black dude who interrupted his conversation to make a scene, which honestly, is my main takeaway from the whole video.

18,19 and 20-year-olds are far less capable at debating than a 30-year-old. I never really paid attention to it until now, but Charlie Kirk going to these colleges and "debating" children is nothing more than grooming. He goes up there and these kids are usually unmatched. When one of those students every now and again takes him to task it's usually glossed over when it shouldn't be.
