This month contestants dug in their own crates trying to find BREAKBEATs to loop that haven't been done to death and make a track. Cast your vote for the illest break & be sure to add feedback in the comment section. If you are interested in the original samples they are posted in the original thread in the Producers Lounge.

Yo Self that beat is walnuts!!! That's exactly what I had in mind when I said just the loop. That shit go that Do The Right Thing era/Amerikkka's Most type feel. I wanna hear Chuck D & Ice Cube go back and forth on that. Good shit!

Jacquez came outta nowhere and easily becoming one of my favorites. The production on that track was rolling and displayed some of the same vibes I get from BiNK. That was a dope beat don't throw that away.

Drowzie brought the Wild Gremlins with him. I wanted to hear Nature kick a quick freestyle wit Clue screamin in the background to that. Cold beat.

I initially was going through some Mandrill records for the high energy exciting breaks and after an hour passed I changed my mind to some laid back funk. Found a different band with a different vibe and immediately went to work on it. I filtered the sample lo & hi pass, replayed the bass line found some Reason stock drums to layer the break ... I thought I was done. I don't know what the fuck made me open a synth keyboard but booooiiiii when I did I must have been noodling for like 20-30 mins before I pressed record. That shit was fun and sounded like some OG westcoast gangsta rap to me. Before you know it I slappin flutes in there, dissonant chords even sampled some porn audio for perspective. I took this beat to the studio the other night to let some friends hear it and they all freaked out hyped it up, then I shut it off and tucked it away for a rainy day.

Great work, you all got super busy and deserve your respective props.

JACQUEZ: Dope beat, son. Nice flow and freestyle beat. I can definitely hear my mans Phonte ripping that shit.

Skinny: Your beat will likely be my choice for this month. It's crisp and clean. Gangster flow with that west coast vibe. Solid hip-hop beat. Somebody should be rapping on that.

Drowzie: I'm a huge fan of that sample. The flow is what I would expect it to be with a few, and very nice, additional twist to it.

As for myself: I was just doing shit. Wasn't sure what Skinny had in mind with the theme, until the first beat I posted was really not under the guidelines. I chose something uptempo and cool. This is the fastest tempo beat I have ever made.

Good job everyone. As usual, I appreciate the music and talent.

BGOLians - get y'all asses in here and show this beat contest some Respek.

Skinny - that bassline is sick. The bizmarkie vocals took me back to the early pete rock albums. the build-up is nice and the instruments compliment the bassline perfectly- nice ass mellow track oozing with funk. You definitely did your thing.

Drowzie - the loop at the beginning was catchy. it was nice how you brought the bass stabs in - I really like the arrangement on this one.

Science - I knew this would be your thing with your vast collection of blaxploitation music. You picked a gem with that saphires break. The beat was a nice throwback - it reminded me of a kmd or 3rd bass track. I could feel myself swaying from side to side anticipating when you would bring the instruments in. Nice.

I actually enjoyed listening to everybody's beat and everybody bought a different vibe which is a good thing. This months contest actually put me onto some nice obscure breaks that I can add my collection to use in my beats. Thanks for the feedback everybody and keep banging.
