Boston - D Town Game 4: Should Pistons Start Billups Or Stuckey?

I'm kinda of conflicted. I think Billups needs to be big but Stuckey played his heart out to help Detroit stay close towards the end.


I personally think Billups should start and Stuckey should come in off the bench but he should get at least 20 mins playing time.

Thoughts?
 
I think he should start, but i also think this is a coaches series, both teams are good, in my personal opinion, Detroit is better, but they pretty similar in a lot of aspects and its boils down to what the coaches do, if chauncey start and dont get his stroke going, bring in stuckey to pick it up and stop trying to force the starters to perform. everybody has bad games and flip needs to know when his starting five just aint cuttin it, they cant afford any mistakes at this point.
 
simple. if he can go, then chauncey billups should get the start.

if he can't go, then chauncey billups should sit until he's ready to go.

on a side note, i LMAO off at these announcers who are astounded at rodney stuckey's ability to score. another example of broadcasters speaking out their ignorant asses, considering that scoring is rodney stuckey's calling card.
 
Agreed with the above completely. He should start and the decision should be made very quickly based on how he starts the game. As important as Billups is to running our offense and carrying the load when needed, his ineffectiveness completely hampers the team..offensively and defensively. Now considering he played well in Game 2, I don't know how much the hamstring has played in his performance. Quiet as kept, Billups has been playing like shit during the ECF's the last couple of years.... and people ALWAYS pay too much attention and give to much merit to the offensive side of the equation...it's not his drop off in offensive production that is the problem this year or even least year, it was his ineffectiveness on the defensive end that caused the real breakdown. Even against the Cavs last year, while all the talk was about Lebron's monster games, the real untold story was how Gibson was putting up huge numbers because Chauncey was sleeping on defense. And Chauncey is my dude, but the Pistons have a decision to make..


and cosigning about Stuckley...his ability to score has never been a question mark for me.

I haven't really noticed how inept Mike Breen was at announcing since I am rarely able to catch many nationally televised broadcasts during the season, outside of TNT.

But :lol:.

Stuckey is a scoring guard. Nowhere close to being a point guard right now. But it's good to see the rook have some success as a contributor on a team going on a major playoff run, considering how he was never able to lead his college team to any type of success.

Thats very true. You can tell by the number of assists he dishes out, and when he gets the Ball he always looks to score 1st. I like the hustle play of lindsey hunter against the Boston guards.. But chauncey is the general, we need him to handle the ball, stuckey is good but he rushes plays. waiting on game 5.. :lol::lol::lol: @ Maxiel Blocking Kevin Garnet...
 
Detroit's frontline is the key to it's winning....it always has been. Billups and Rip always got the glory, but it was Wallace, Wallace and Prince who did all the heavy lifting.

Now McDyess is playing a big role. Him and Rasheed offset KG.

But to answer the question, I believe you have to go with Billups if he is healthy. Of course, I have no idea what's going on, but I always knew Stuckey as going to play a major role eventually
 
In my opinion Stuckey should start and Billups should come off the bench . Stuckey's been scoring more and Billups hasnt fully recovered from his injury yet.
